Jesus, God’s Son, became flesh and dwelt among us. He entered into our suffering, and suffered for the sins of the world.
He suffered hunger and cold. He suffered loneliness. He suffered grief and pain. But most importantly He suffered for our sins, receiving the wrath for sin that we deserve.
Suffering is at the heart of the Christian gospel. The Gospels themselves are stories, with long introductions, about the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus. Jesus calls us to choose suffering for the sake of His kingdom as He himself chose to suffer for the Kingdom of God.18
The fact is people may have one experience with us many years ago, and in their mind, we are the same person we were then, when that is not the reality for us or people that know us today. ... The fact is every person in your life, every person you ever meet has a different version of “you” in their heads.
