I think they are capable of a lot judging there actions over last 10 years or so,, they used celtic tiger to get us to spend more,, (more in there pockets as we seen from there holidays and so on) and now they use the ressesion to cut our earnings we made when the tiger was here, so they are getting back what they gave ten year ago...............just dragged it out, but it was always to suit them,,, we were never going to make our fortunes,,, and if we manged to do so,, now they dragging it back threw taxes,,,,,,, thats the sign of sneaky movments and disrespect to the community of Ireland.
Just saying you dont know what tomorrow brings,, you may get sick?? kids may get sick?? and you cant afford bills and end up on streets,, just like some,,, never judge others until you walk mile in there shoes,, just shame they wore shoes out from all the walking trying to find comforts again. If that happens then you will see,, maybe it never happens,, but who knows really just saying dont be so short sighted towards others, when you dont know there stories..
Alcoholism and drugs are a diesase that need help, and i know that stan never meant it the way he said it. He was putting it in to text as no hopers, and yes there are a lot of them around, and belive me most of them aren't on the streets either, we have them in government too. It is like all aspects of live there are needy and greedy!!!!! It is easy to spot the needy if we just look,, but you dont even see as you dont want to decide who is right or who is wrong who deserves help or who needs a good kick to wake them up,,,, the ones that get a kick will get up,,,, but no matter how hard you kick the real needy they can never get up as they are so broke,,, so open your eyes and dont be so ignorent to things you see...... or one day you might get a kick to wake you up.
I would like yere opinions about the recent ressesion? Do you think that the goverment deliberatly caused a ressesion to gain money from the cut backs they made to get them out of a hole that they first dug themselves? I notice that we are comming out of ressesion slowly after most of us paid the price, now the books and banks figures are almost balanced again they seem to have used us as scape goats ONCE AGAIN, get fianna (FAIL) out next time around i say...
Thanks steve, just a few selfish people around, but they be the first to take hand outs if we had crisis,, not because they need them but just pure greed and thinking about themselves, they are just ignorent people that dont deserve help when shoe on other foot But thanks for your facing of reality
Charity always begins at home, and i do all i can to help, yes there are people on the streets from no fault of there own and people do help them. The point of the thread is to just think how lucky we are compared to others,,,, be it at home or abroad, we are lucky with what we got and hope we never see the day we are out of our homes, i spent time in different country with no more than loaf of bread to last a week and water to drink threw no fault of my own either. It was nice for friends to help when they could, and people in them situations need some support be it threw prayer or donations. Last thing they need is blunt minded folk saying they dont care as its not affecting them. Lets hope that in time your kids dont loose jobs and house and need some support to pull them threw until straight again. Because if we all say sure there not my problem and walk by and leave them starving on the foothpaths when they reach out,, im sure that you wouldn't be so self rightious then or blind to the way life works.
