My ex wife (i hope she doesnt go on this site and read this ) was a nurse ,and came from a working class background, like myself When we got divorced she left nursing and became a pharmaceutical rep for a large international company When we met years later she had changed her accent, to suit her new image and i even said to her "why are you speaking in that way ?" She just laughed it off and we chatted about the past She was still the same person i had know for over 10 years even though her facade and lifestyle had changed I was not phased by her new found confidence and understood the reason for the changes. I suppose its got a lot to do with confidence and realising we are all different
