As to the extra pocket (not sure what that is?), but by the time it reaches the end of the night , they are probably only wearing their underwear ,with no pockets
I always thought that people in the USA were tolerant, religious people ? Even on sky tv over here there is the god channel from the states, which constantly preaches religious belief and forgiveness etc
And yet here we have two non-sympathetic,if not downright cruel opinions about a man and his daughter , both still probably raw from the death of someone they must have loved, that these people know nothing about. Its stinks of hypochrisy
I am not religious myself,but i would never pass a comment about a nine year old child like that above
I know this,but is it because the father knows that if he introduces kagal as his new girlfriend, he realises there will be fireworks, and does not want this reaction on their first introduction
If thats the case,then my solution should take away this fear,and the daughter will just accept her as the babysitter initially, and hopefully they might get a chance to bond If this idea was put to the father, and he rejected it outright, then there must be another underlying reason we dont know about
I have read through this thread thoroughly and some of the advice given is good and some not so You have to think, here is a man that has lost his wife and a daughter that has lost her mother
Its not surprising that the daughter is clinging to her dad,and he is pandering to her every means
Unless you are in this situation ,there are no hard and fast rules,you have to go with your instinct
Where people have said "get out ", to me that is just a shallow reaction
If you feel something for that person its worth persevering to find a solution
How about this ; The girlfriend has never met the daughter, so does not know her Arrange for the girlfriend to babysit the daughter a few times while the dad goes out for the night,say on a business meeting or some other reason The girlfriend can then get to spend time with the daughter,without any animosity arising If they get on well,over a period of time the girlfriend could become just that,and the daughter would not feel as threatened having got to know her If during the course of the babysitting they do not get on then at least you would have your answer
I wasnt going to comment on this thread originally,but i feel everyone should be given a chance, regardless of their personal situations

I dont think the 99.9% of people on this forum that have read and commented agreeably on the subject are going to take up arms and seek out their countries politicians and shoot them

I am seperated from my wife who is 18 years younger than me and a good four inches taller We lasted after 11 years of marriage and have a beautiful nine year old daughter It worked for us until recently Its not all about age , its compatability and frame of mind

Hi Having just commented on the other forum on smoking, i was reminded of the recent drama with the icelandic volcano erupting ash
Just to get it from the horses mouth, so to speak,does anyone in iceland know if there are any signs of further eruptions from this one or the other larger volcano ? Is it the calm before the storm ?

I am in my mid fifties and a lot fitter and healthier than my mid forties, and wiser I think the age thing is also relative with your genes Some can be younger than others but still look older Not smoking and moderate drinking is another factor (stick to red wine its beneficial to anti ageing) All in all you just have to be confident and believe in yourself
You will probably have gone through a lot of trauma by the time you reach your 50's, and if you survive what life throws at you it can only make you a stronger person
If you go to the uk city centres anytime after 2.00am on a saturday night/sunday morning ,you will see plenty of women in need of picking up,mainly off the floor outside nightclubs But be prepared for a long wait in A=E
