I will never forget the taxi driver who was on a uk programme called mastermind many years ago ,where people are challenged for their ability to answer questions on various subjects ,and hewon it
He had an extremely high IQ but chose to drive taxis for a living
Sometimes its what people are happier doing rather than what they are qualified to do

I have been both a white and blue collar worker
Left school and was training to go into accountacy, two years later moved to industry and many years later in partnership in a business
From there i have been in sales in the uk,in italy, and now in spain
I have experienced the rough and the smooth, so to speak,but i have gained a wealth of knowledge through my job deviations .
As far as dating goes,to me its the person and not the position

The big problem that we all run into when our hearts get broken is self pity, and hopelessness. These two things cloud our minds, and vision so it is hard to see which path to take, so we sit there and weep. And then when you finally decide to make a move, you move forward with doubts, and fears. These things will break your spirit, and your will to fight. Nothing in this life worth having comes without a fight, we have to be ready to fight for things we want in this world, or we will leave this world lonely and broken hearted. Make yourself aware of the seduction of self-pity and fight it. Don't let a broken heart, break your spirit as well.

The longer your spirit remains broken, the more you risk leading a broken life. The more bitterness, and doubt that we embrace as humans, the more tainted we become. Soon, everything has a bitter taste, and we hide our hearts away, where love will never find them again...Why? Because our broken spirit has lead us to believe it is better to be lonely and bitter the rest of our lives, then it is to risk a broken heart once again. Looks like self-pity, fear, and doubt have done their work well, Huh?

Now you find yourself at a crossroad in life...which way are you going to turn? Which path will you take? Are you going to walk towards the bright light of the future possibilities? Or will you stay where you are? Or worst yet, allow yourself to sink back into the past, and relive your pain over and over again? People can only point the way, you have to have enough faith in yourself to follow the right path. The easiest path is usually always the one that will hurt you the most. But because it requires no risk, most people always choose that one. Will you be brave enough to follow the right path? It may be long, hard, and scary...but focus on what is waiting for you at the end of it.

The only thing that is worst then having your dreams stolen away from you, is to give them away without a fight.

If it wasnt for trade unions people like you would be on $2 an hour and working 14 hour days !!!!

Dont we live in democracy ???

Employers would pay what they liked and if you didnt like it well tough luck

You only have to look at countries like india where there are no unions and they employ children in sweat factories, working 16 hours a day for a few pennies

Thats what would happen if people were never given the choice

I have worked in industry and believe me i know !!

I was born on the 13th ,but a wednesday,and have never believed in superstition
I will deliberately walk under ladders and the like to defy bad luck
Its all in the mind

Saying that i have experienced my share of bad luck in the past,but never attributed it to superstition

I have never tried this but i think the whole idea is based on the concept that you know within a minute or so of meeting someone if there is a connection or not
So three minutes with each person is considered ample time to make a judgement and meeting up to 15 people ,for example, should be odds on for a result
I am not convinced though
Ref who arranges this,i suppose anyone could set this up themselves, you would just need a venue and a bit of advertising

Its not their fault this has happened, where did the banking crisis and recession stem from ???? Need i say more

They are having to take massive wage cuts or job losses , inflation is out of control and most are going to lose most of their pensions
They are talking about it possibly happening in portugal and here in spain next

Its ok for the politicians to say to people just accept it, youve no choice

They still have their fat cat jobs ,this will not affect their living standards
