The advice I will give is very similar to godsgift as I am now 11 years sober. Treatment and AA worked for me, but its different for everyone. I wanted the madness to stop and would have gone to the moon for help. She is the only person who can change her life and until she makes that decision (or finds her gutter as godsgift put it) all you and your family can do is look after yourselves. She has to accept that she has a problem first and her recovery can start from there but your recovery can start now with alanon. There is hope and I wish you and your family all the best.
Love des bishop. i used to really like billy connolly but have to agree with blipper, he seems to have lost his touch, didnt enjoy his last dvd at all.
I was one of the 4 members who turned up and it was my first and last event with CS. feel very disappointed for the organiser and for the other people who travelled. my friend and I enjoyed meeting the other guys but it was impossible to even try and make the best of the weekend because it was so disappointing. I wish the organiser and the people going to the donegal meet all the best
Yes but im not hurt by it. i dont say much on the forum anyway but if i have something to say i say it. i just enjoy popping in every now and then having a read and a laugh. just try to enjoy it and dont take it, or the people on it, too seriously..

drivers not indicating... drivers overtaking when they dont have the power... drivers cutting in front too quickly after overtaking....
this example is not bad manners,,, just stupidity - the same young driver overtook me at the same bend on the same day two weeks in a row... could not believe it. there was just seconds in it each time. the second week he did it the gardai were the next car to come around the very dangerous bend....
like the others have said it depends on the amount (units of alcohol) the person is drinking 4 times a week, how it is effecting his/her life and those around him/her.
The Department of Health and Children advises that up to 14 standard drinks a week for women and up to 21 standard drinks a week for men is considered low risk. It is important that they are spread out over the week and not saved for one session or big night out.
This equates to a daily low risk limit of 2 or 3 standards drinks for women, or 3 or 4 standard drinks for men, with some alcohol free days over the course of the week.
a standard drink is a half glass of beer, a small glass of wine or a pub measure of spirits which is 10g of pure alcohol.
