They have been trying for many years but I just don't think they are equipped for it.

yeah they should !! whats stopping a lesbien going out and getting pregnant and raising the child with her female partner ... its more difficult for gay men !

i think you cant have one rule 4 one and another 4 the other.. personally i dont agree with 2 gay men having a child JMOis there a reason why they shouldnt be[/qu imagine the child wen its a bit older in school been asked about family life.. oh i have 2 daddy's and no mammy.. i just think its a very hard situation on a child, not as a baby but wen older

along time ago this country didnt believe in single fathers either !!if the mother died the children would have been given to family or put in care , but that has changed now too !!! gay people are humans and have rights too !
as long as the children are taken care of ... i dont personally have a problem with same gender parents , of either gender .
all children need is love and encouragement !!!

I dont see why not if they are gonna provide a stable and loving environment

thats the same as children who only have one parent and there are a lot ofsingle mothers out there and their children may not know their fathers ... it would be no different !! families come in all shapes and sizes nowadays!

fair point, reason i posted the thread is it came up in a topic of convo i was having with people at home the other day.. its amazing how many of them didnt agree with itunouwantme2: just wanted peoples opinions on this.. should lesbian and gay couples be allowed have children??

the child wont put any pass on it as it will be all its ever known plus its gonna have plenty more family around it, think about those who dont have one parent in their life due to separation or take the case of my nephew, he turned 2 today and his daddy died 10 months ago tomorrow, hes no biological father but he does have 5 surrogate ones along with about 7 surrogate mothers because my sister has family and friends around her like most people and i would imagine thats how any gay/lesbian couple would hope to be unouwantme2: fair point, reason i posted the thread is it came up in a topic of convo i was having with people at home the other day.. its amazing how many of them didnt agree with it

I think ANYONE who wants children should be tested to see if they are a fit to be a parent at all.
