Will the garage do a scrappage deal? Some are giving E2,000 - E3,000 these days. Unless you reckon the Lucida is worth more? (It probably isin't in the current market )
A mate bought an '89 Scirocco for E950 at auction. Same car was listed in a garage 6 months previous for E2,500. True about the test drive though.
My advice, check the Autotrader for bargains. Second hand market has never been so low. (Beware though - a lot of listings are actually dealers in disguise. )
