RE: Worldcup 2k10

A good "team" can go very far.

RE: Worldcup 2k10

What'you think, Steve? Germans will bore us to death one more time?
Perhaps the Italians will "faul mouth" their way to the "WM-bucket" once again?
Will the Argentines come together as a team this time around ?

Lots of wonder going on.

RE: A Typical Love Story

Thanks. I wish you good fortune with your quest.
I, regretfully, live far away from almost all the many interesting women on here, but I love this place. Interessting people.

RE: Pretty pathetic

I second that.

RE: Pretty pathetic

I guess we mostly agree on that you should stay away from the "princess" of past. Hey man. The life is a constant learning process. Don´t let it though affect what you should think about people, women in particular. We all need a second glance before judgement. She was, perhaps, a bad apple but that doesn´t mean the next one will be.

RE: Pretty pathetic

Interesting. Instructive. Good !! Listen to her, kid !!!! thumbs up

RE: He Is So Real

Just be careful. Casual. Cool it. He should like to "work" for it a little. Don´t let it be easy. Establish a value. Self value. That is my best and honest advise. But go for it.

RE: He Is So Real

Uuuups. Test the merchandice first sort of. Good thinking. Nail him !! What have you got to lose. If it doesn´t work you have´d lived a little at least. cheering dancing banana

The Volcano again

Hi there mindful bouquet

There is little to worry about as to direct threat to people so you all shouldn´t worry about that. More worrying is the question if the ash-eruption will subside as I predict or not. If not we are going to have constant disruptions in airtraffic while the eruption lasts. It shows no signs of diminished power of erupting.

We are immensely sorry for that. blushing

You all take care. I´m of to show some tourists the "attraction".

Be well.

The Volcano again

Unfortunately it is understandable that people feel frustrated when a "rock in the middle of nowhere" effects their possibilities to travel from one place to another. Especially when the visual effects are very hard to find with the naked eye. Even impossibly so.

The fact that this eruption has made such an impact on peoples lives is a great matter of concern since this eruption is considered a "small" one. What if there is a "big" one as there are many such known in modern times and these happen with a fair amount of regularity.

The airliners are fighting the losses due to a few days and weeks of disruptions. What if there are no flights for months ?

This is really a thing to wonder about and how on earth we can prepair for such an eventual event. Is there an option to rebuild all engines in the fleet of airplanes world over. I can´t see that happen but then what do I know.

RE: looking for love

Why on earth should you have problems with this. I can understand this to be a "spur of the moment" thing but surely not a lasting problem.

Lots of men out there that would love to earn your love. Chin up "gal"!!

The Volcano again

THX. It is difficult to imagine how big this thing really is.

The danger is mostly the ashes. The actual place is at a distance from populated area so there is no imminent danger to people nor animals.

The Volcano again

At the risk of being boring I´d like you to take a look at this link

It is from the eruption here in Iceland and it was taken last night. It will show you an eruption changing from ash-eruption to lava. The explosions trow glowing lava into the air and most of the glowing pieces you see waigh just about 2000 pounds and they are thrown 3-400 ft. up into the air.

If you compair the size of the glowing pieces to the smoke behind it gives you some idea about the size of all of this. Yesterday the weather was fine and NASA has some great satelite footich from the ash-cloude stretching due south from the coast.

It looks as if the problem with ashes in the air is in reduction giving hope of lesser problems with disturbencies to flights in USA and Europe. Let us hope that will come thru.

If you want to see it click on "Horfa á myndskeið." on the page.

RE: Can we look at Greece's Debt Problems and see American's Future??

THX. Appreciated.

RE: Can we look at Greece's Debt Problems and see American's Future??

THX. Interesting. There are many such question that seem very hard to place in private hands mainly because repayment time is both long and sometimes the population to pay is scarse.

Here in Iceland these ideas are almost the only one awailable at present stage.

RE: Can we look at Greece's Debt Problems and see American's Future??

Birgitta is a friend and Sari too. Actually the Icesave is also a question of people like you and me that were lured into placing funds into a fraud. Shouldn´t they be asking for their money back as well as the icelandic nation.

There are so many international economical tragedies involved in this that sometimes people from here claime to be anything else but icelandic when travelling abroad.

The argument regaridng the Icesave is mainly the level interest and from what time to pay them.

The banks all ran sceems that will end the directors in jail but where is the money ??

RE: Can we look at Greece's Debt Problems and see American's Future??

Problem as I see it with political "hands off" the economy is who is to govern infrastructural investments.

RE: Can we look at Greece's Debt Problems and see American's Future??

As most of you may know Iceland went thrue a total "bank crash" in late 2008 where a few "vacumcleaned" the finances of the nation for own gain.

We have made a "white book" awailable in english where the grounds and bases for these happenings have been scrutinized and analyzed. We have now incarserated two of the major banks CEO´s and more are to follow.

At the same time the political system´s close interjection with the economical elite has come to light and how the "system" is still in place savouring the stronghold on the public. The common man is losing his savings, homes and economical values and beeing bound in economical straps that will last for at least a decade when "the guilty" are slipping thrue dept-traps by nagotiating dismissals of "speculative transactions" to nil on basis "they can never pay".

Social rights are beeing stripped away due to "can´t afford" policies and child care and schooling is beeing downsized or cut off. Health care is turning into "waiting lists" and the taxes are increased at the same time. The "rich" have salvaged their ill gained/stolen money to Tortola and the ruins of society left to the remaining crowd.

The economical world is stonewalling all attempts to seek information in order to reclaime the "loot" hiding behind international law. it is comming all the more evident that it isn´t state that governs but capital and such is the "real world". Given what ever name you care or people you elect. It is not politics that rule but "moneymakers" and economical special needs of the few.

RE: Best Footballer in History

Cruyff is another brilliancy price. As defender Morten Olsen and the Laudrup bro´s can be nominated without shame. All players of their time. I remember one Ray Wilkins I thought to be exceptional in his days but the "big" names are either S American or central European.

RE: Best Footballer in History

Second that thumbs up

RE: Best Footballer in History

Sedane!! Pele!! Eusabio!! Ronaldo!! Yashin!! and many more and none from GBr. though many good players come from there.

RE: Best Footballer in History

Yes. Best was good looking but not even close to beeing best. I guess it is natural for women to mix the best with Best.

RE: Can we look at Greece's Debt Problems and see American's Future??
