is bored!!

Sounds like a fun filled day hun, I found someone something to do laugh

Love for everyone :barf:

Yes he'll be dad/uncle to the child and the Grandmother will be Great-grandmother/ adopted Mum!!

RE: What are the main reasons we stay with people who we know are not right for us, and we know it.

I stayed with my husband because I believed in marriage. I thought forgiveness was a big part of that and that I shouldn't break my vows. In the end he left anyway and if I felt then how I feel now I'd have left years ago but hindsight is a wonderful thing!

RE: Protocol ?

I answered this question recently to a friend of mine.

If you ask a lady out then you should pay. If she asks you then she should pay.

If it's just a friendly meeting go halves.

Where I live the men do take offense if the woman offers to pay so guess we are spoilt but I think generally the above is a good guide to go by.

Good Luck

Love for everyone :barf:

Sorry Illu, I'll try to find something to take your mind off it hug

RE: For Australians principally - do you agree with the Governments decision on cigarettes:

There wouldn't be just resistance if they tried banning or putting up the taxes to an exhorbitant price on either of these things because there would be full scale riots in any country.

It's ok to binge drink, damage your liver, smash things up, attack people, throw up any place you choose, get obese, clog your arteries, have high cholesterol or anything else related to alchohol and fast food but forget all that cause the smoker is the only drain on societies health service and is the only one to contribute to polluting the atmosphere and countless other things a smoker is accused of.

In my view if governments don't want people to smoke don't collect taxes on them BAN them. They are just being bigoted by making money from cigarettes. But of course they couldn't do that cause they would lose too much

frustrated

Love for everyone :barf:

I was shocked to see that over 180 people had commented on this story on the Sun website, that is more than I've ever seen on an article including ones about murderers being let out and other sick people.

Interestingly people seemed to think that at 72 this woman could have a biological child and that it would be born with disabilities! The other thing I found interesting was while the majority agree it is disgusting, immoral etc there were a few who said it was fine!

Wonder if anyone on C.S. would think it ok?

I have heard that brothers/sisters etc who do not know each other can fall in love when meeting. It's not really love but a familiarity that is confused with love because they share certain characteristics they will find attractive in a person but for the most part people would fight and work through these feelins. I think that morally the Grandmother should have done this though she admits to making the first move.

Love for everyone :barf:

I wasn't sure where to post this and if you read it you will understand why!

I know we are all looking for love but surely this is taking things way to ***king far (excuse the language!)

RE: My shelf

oh forgot to add I have all the Harry Potter books and Twighlight ones as well think they are brilliant blushing

RE: My shelf

Tbh I rarely read any period books or classics now though I have done them all, Thomas Hardy, Lewis Carroll etc. Now my shelf consists of

Sue Grafton, Martina Cole, Lynda la Plante, Janet Evanovich, Jeffery Deaver and many more.

I collect sets of books unless they are one off real life autobiographies, not usually by famous people.

With an interest in psychology and forensics I'd say that my shelf reflects this.

As for women writers being 'biddyish', most of my crime writers are female and while over the course of their 'lifetime' they may fall in love or have liasons they are not usually the gushy romantic type of writings but an addition to the story.

Whatever you read enjoy, the time is ME time and well deserved.

RE: And the say women are worse drivers...

I saw this in a uk paper and couldn't believe it! One of the car owners whose car was damaged from the debris kept smiling and said she would have a hard time explaining it to the insurance company laugh

is bored!!

thanks for the compliments Phoenix, shame we can't see you there but we'll have a drink for you cheers

is bored!!

Well hun, Friday night at the stroke of midnight I'll be putting on my dancing shoes and joining tomboygirl for a few hours of dancing and a g&t or 4 cheers

Providing I can get up in time I'm off to Ikea on Saturday for meatballs! I know sooo sad but what can I say lol.

Sunday it will be the flea market and maybe the beach after if it's not too windy.

Sunday evening a dose of catch up tv and a chill out.

Great weekend plan grin

RE: Solution For Airport Security...

Not such a bad idea and I'd happily clean up the mess for a green card rolling on the floor laughing

RE: tell me about

Thanks Den, 41 gosh you were old, I was 35 rolling on the floor laughing It is fab being a younger grandparent though I wouldn't wish becoming a young Mum on anyone but we can't have it all ways lol.

Yes Bozz, well done, look forward to your next topic.

RE: tell me about

What a wonderful tribute to children this post is.

I have a 26 yr old daughter (yes for those good at math I was 16 when she was born!) She is and always has been the light of my life since 11 April 1984 :). I am now also the proud Nanna of 2 grandchildren who are just so precious. I love being able to get down on the floor & play cars with my grandson & dress up barbie with my grandaughter.

My daughter has now gone back to further her education and I am so proud of her.

RE: How long.........

Have to agree with Tulefel, if it suits you both then it doesn't matter if you see each other once a month or once a week.

I have a friend who only spent 2 weeks a year with her partner for over 10 years. It suited them both. When one of them decided that they weren't happy with it anymore they called it a day.

Don't make a decision based on what others say is right, base it on what you feel is right.

Good luck x

RE: How would you judge your looks?

I'm average but the right person will think I'm beautiful blushing

is bored!!

I'm going to be one happy lady by midnight friday when I don't have to work for 2 days laugh

is bored!!

I'm bored again, god this work thing is a drag....think I need a change of career, suggestions below lol

RE: Where is the best place for a marriage proposal?

somewhere that will always be special to both of you. Don't think any of the options are particularly romantic or a worthwhile choice. Sorry.

RE: Who will take the blame if you see your spouse & friend in bed

I did answser they will share the blame equally but thinking about it I wouldn't have the time to blame anybody cause I'd be too busy answering questions at the local police station about a double homicide!! very mad rolling on the floor laughing

RE: What's worse? Local Unrequited Love or a Connection at Distance.

option 1. It's a horrible situation to be in!
