I stayed with my husband because I believed in marriage. I thought forgiveness was a big part of that and that I shouldn't break my vows. In the end he left anyway and if I felt then how I feel now I'd have left years ago but hindsight is a wonderful thing!
There wouldn't be just resistance if they tried banning or putting up the taxes to an exhorbitant price on either of these things because there would be full scale riots in any country.
It's ok to binge drink, damage your liver, smash things up, attack people, throw up any place you choose, get obese, clog your arteries, have high cholesterol or anything else related to alchohol and fast food but forget all that cause the smoker is the only drain on societies health service and is the only one to contribute to polluting the atmosphere and countless other things a smoker is accused of.
In my view if governments don't want people to smoke don't collect taxes on them BAN them. They are just being bigoted by making money from cigarettes. But of course they couldn't do that cause they would lose too much
I was shocked to see that over 180 people had commented on this story on the Sun website, that is more than I've ever seen on an article including ones about murderers being let out and other sick people.
Interestingly people seemed to think that at 72 this woman could have a biological child and that it would be born with disabilities! The other thing I found interesting was while the majority agree it is disgusting, immoral etc there were a few who said it was fine!
Wonder if anyone on C.S. would think it ok?
I have heard that brothers/sisters etc who do not know each other can fall in love when meeting. It's not really love but a familiarity that is confused with love because they share certain characteristics they will find attractive in a person but for the most part people would fight and work through these feelins. I think that morally the Grandmother should have done this though she admits to making the first move.
Tbh I rarely read any period books or classics now though I have done them all, Thomas Hardy, Lewis Carroll etc. Now my shelf consists of
Sue Grafton, Martina Cole, Lynda la Plante, Janet Evanovich, Jeffery Deaver and many more.
I collect sets of books unless they are one off real life autobiographies, not usually by famous people.
With an interest in psychology and forensics I'd say that my shelf reflects this.
As for women writers being 'biddyish', most of my crime writers are female and while over the course of their 'lifetime' they may fall in love or have liasons they are not usually the gushy romantic type of writings but an addition to the story.
Whatever you read enjoy, the time is ME time and well deserved.
I saw this in a uk paper and couldn't believe it! One of the car owners whose car was damaged from the debris kept smiling and said she would have a hard time explaining it to the insurance company
Thanks Den, 41 gosh you were old, I was 35 It is fab being a younger grandparent though I wouldn't wish becoming a young Mum on anyone but we can't have it all ways lol.
Yes Bozz, well done, look forward to your next topic.
What a wonderful tribute to children this post is.
I have a 26 yr old daughter (yes for those good at math I was 16 when she was born!) She is and always has been the light of my life since 11 April 1984 :). I am now also the proud Nanna of 2 grandchildren who are just so precious. I love being able to get down on the floor & play cars with my grandson & dress up barbie with my grandaughter.
My daughter has now gone back to further her education and I am so proud of her.
Have to agree with Tulefel, if it suits you both then it doesn't matter if you see each other once a month or once a week.
I have a friend who only spent 2 weeks a year with her partner for over 10 years. It suited them both. When one of them decided that they weren't happy with it anymore they called it a day.
Don't make a decision based on what others say is right, base it on what you feel is right.
I did answser they will share the blame equally but thinking about it I wouldn't have the time to blame anybody cause I'd be too busy answering questions at the local police station about a double homicide!!
is bored!!
Sounds like a fun filled day hun, I foundsomeonesomething to do
