I haven't ever stayed with someone that wasn't right for me. Pure and simple.

I think because there is enough good mixed with the bad that it makes it harder to leave. If they were totally a jerk it would be easier.

In my case I stayed because of lack of support. 3 days after I married him I threw the ring back at him, after he got really abusive, and his mother put it back on my finger and lectured me about making beds and lying in them.........

I feel alot sad at the moment, but when you feel something isn't right, you have to move on....when they lie to you, act innocent,
when they tell you so many wonderful and intimate things and the next minute they are on checking out someone else, another f@ck*
option, go to hell....I deserve something better, and IF that's how all the men are on here, wow, I'm in trouble...
it'll get better, just don't understand, it's like men are kids in a candystore and can't decide, so, why even say all kinds of
crap....I don't think women are so deceptive--maybe a few, but we
would like to find a nice guy to hang out with and see where it goes...

Sorry to hear you have been played. Words are all we have to go on here and some people know exactly what is required in order to deceive and manipulate others. Actions are far more important than words and always will be but with this internet medium, trust and blind faith is required big time.

I stayed with my husband because I believed in marriage. I thought forgiveness was a big part of that and that I shouldn't break my vows. In the end he left anyway and if I felt then how I feel now I'd have left years ago but hindsight is a wonderful thing!
