I think many not all countries can see the hopelessness in irradiating parts of the world. Vietnam could have suffered the same fate as Hirosima and Nagaski but whats the point in just defeating a people for pride.
Still there are many countries that are so unstable or have religious fanatical views that should never be trusted with nuclear weapons.
After 6 years of war, rather less for the USA.... People tired of war in the Pacific against a fanatical enemy made a hard decision. The war could have gone on for many more years but the Atom bomb did end the war, so I think yes it was right at that point in time (1945).
Im referring to scientists 1850 to say 1930s also pre 1850, im sure scientists in the past have been pressured to say they believe in God however im unable to find anything on the net other than Islam pressuring scientists. I will look some more to find something to back my statement....
I moved from Tobay to Southhampton to get back into engineering many moons ago, my sister came back from Austrailia after 20 years and moved to Bournmouth.
