lets put it this way, it will be great day to rob houses in carlow, we would normally send back half our allocation the county sec was telling me yesterday that there trying to get more tickets off the other counties, and then you have those that buy online so there could be anywhere from 5 to 10 thousand going for a small county that is huge, i agree i don't think wexford are world beaters but carlow have a history of following a good win with a bbig loss, we beat offaly in 05 only to get hammered by limerick the next day in 96 we beat wexford by 18 point and wicklow by 3 only to be slaughtered by meath, we wont fear wexford that may stand to us
football qualifiers longford down laois fermanagh meath monaghan sligo football semis tyrone mayo carlow up the scallion aters kildare hurling carlow even though im sure the will lose cork
ok i am goinf to say yes we are well capable of running our own affairs, many countries go through hard times brought on by bad governance, i would agree with kenny on some of his points but to say that irish people are irrational is wrong we are no different to any other people, only a few year ago gordon brown was saying there will never be a recession again he got it wrong pretty much everyone got it wrong, we do need to change our political system but i very much doubt that the current government will do this
the british were slaughtered in it, there is a good book called the nightmare years by william shirer it starts in kabul in 1930 very good read and a great insight into the lead up to ww2
see that's the thing, they went in to get bin laden or so they said, well he is dead so whats the point in staying, even alexander the great struggled to beat these afghans
take it as a compliment, i rate dublin very highly, sunday is winner takes all, on a carlow front the last time we got to the leinster final we played wexford in the semi and that same year armagh got to the ulster hurling final
yeah i think there will be a big carlow following sunday, travelling in hope more than anything, wexford are flying, both teams have played each other atleast 4 times in challenges this year so the are well accustomed to each other, i don't think we will win, but if we play to our strengths then we will give them a game
il post my selections friday, i was talking to a wicklow man today and he reckons sligo will beat them handy, most players went back to there clubs after the kildare game
ah i think it's going to be very tight, im going with kildare but only just, dublin don't seem to have the same appetite for leinster the last couple of year, where as kildare need to win something, goldrick a good choice as ref??
all-ireland tipping comp
carlow hurlers level at half time
