"The uncommon reader" by Alan Bennett? What did you think about the book? What was exactly funny about it? Please don't read the critics, I would love to hear your deepest analysis. It's a very short book, you can still read and come back here next week I thought that Monarchies, especially the Brit has been ridiculised through the book... My friend said something else and I want to understand how you took it? Have you ever asked yourselves if everyone wants to adopt the developing countries way of living? My great grandmother from my fathers side kept running away from the city to more than 400km, country side, where she was born, the red sanned Africa. She refused to adapt to the "boring" life of the city. Shed rather be alone in her cabala.
Ever tried walking without shoes on the sand? Some kids take shoes as a commodity or only for winter. Not that all of them are poor but because they feel comfortable! Imagine a kid playing outside with flipflops...when they start chasing eachother, better leave the flipflops behind! Im trying to say that not all you see on TV is a reason to feel sorry for. People should start waring other peoples shoes to understand the meaning.
