Happy Birthday Kaybee! This fellow said he would only pop for you!

RE: Has anyone gone "Stealth mode" on you after wooing you?

From your description, the guy seems like a virtual poser. He realizes that he can't live up to your expectations in the real world - so of course he cannot meet you.

It is really foolish, I think, for women on this site to just play into the only one at a time kind of meetings.

If you are serious about using this site as a dating tool, then set up conversations and then meet in real life - don't rely on just one date, one person, try a variety of a few with different people.

anyone can be anything on the internet - look at me! liar

RE: do every human in this world dislike Irish travelers ???

Question: "Does every human being in this world dislike Irish Travelers?"

Answer: I would not know I am not every human being. I am only one.

There are a lot tv shows in cable tv that depict the Irish Travelers in American. Some documentaries and some pure enjoyment shows, like the "The Riches".

I know I certainly dislike people who cheat and steal, however, I don't lump them together into one particular culture or group - because they come in all sizes, colors and shapes, religions, cultures and backgrounds.....

RE: Where's God?

Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (15 October 1844 – 25 August 1900) was a German philosopher, whose critiques of contemporary culture, religion, and philosophy centered on a basic question regarding the foundation of values and morality.

I thought his philosophy was that there are two kinds of people, those that believe and those that do not, and neither is capable of ever understanding the other because of the underlying belief in the existence of god.

Although I cannot find any of his quotes right now.

RE: What do you hate about your job the most?

well you are a better person than me, but I always often gossiped about it.

hug

RE: Where's God?

He goes on to write - As anyone with any life experiences or a sense of history knows, religious people are more than capable of committing sins and crimes, and nonreligious people are more than capable of being moral and trustworthy citizens and friends.

RE: Where's God?

There is an interesting book by michael Shermer "The Science of Good & Evil" why people cheat, gossip, care, share, and follow the golden rule.

In one of the chapters entitled Can we be good without god? Theism, atheism, and morality.

quote: events of an evil and primeval nature force us to confront the deepest questions about our moral nature, beginning with the nature of morality if there is no God and the fate of ethics in a secular and scientific society. Are we doomed to destrcution if we do not accept the objective value of moral absolutes offered by relgion? - so starts the chapter.

RE: What do you hate about your job the most?

I have worked since I was 15, earlier if you count babysitting. I worked all kinds of jobs, full time and part time and I worked full time while I earned my 2 degrees.

I have done all kinds of jobs from cleaning TB machines at the hospital, to cafeteria cleanup, washing floors, telephone service, sales both door-to-door and in a department store, receptionist, clerical in a prison. All kinds of jobs - and I respect those that do the job - but to say most are content.

No, no, no most folk I think are not content. And the jobs are not crappy - they pay crappy -

RE: What do you hate about your job the most?

I don't think the jobs are crappy, I am saying that most people and I thought that is what we were doing was generalizing - are not happy with their job.

I respect people who do a honest days work - and it is terrible that some jobs do not allow the pay that they deserve.

RE: what does your country look like on the map ?

Good thread Alex -

although I have another take on this - I don't care what my countries look like on a map - I am not generally interested in the "looks" of things, only in the character of things and people.

RE: Where's God?

Let's break this thing down, shall we?

Why He stopped talking to humans like He did with Moses, or Abraham? Did he talk to Moses or Abraham, or did we read it about it and have it repeated so often in the stories handed down from one generation to another, that it became a literal translation of fact out of fiction?

Does He has preferences? I mean, a lot of people specially children are dying everyday because of lack of food. If God is Love, thousands dying in Africa, Middle East, some Pacific countries, Latin America. Does God has His prefence with richest Countries?

You need to set up your presumptions first before you leap into a preference reference. Preference to what or whom? Preference to some humans over others? Preference for humans who practice one form of belief over another? Are you suggesting that the god of christianity is not the god or gods of other religions including judaism, buddah, allah, druidism etc, etc?

or Are we all insane?
Is this your question about the sanity or insanity of beliefs in a being greater than ourselves?
