I walked along the beach today,
and even though the sky was grey,
I saw real beauty in the sky,
And wondered what if I could fly.

As birds swoop down to touch the sea,
The salty air refreshes me,
How beautiful it is to be,
At one with nature by the sea.

I look upon the cloudy sky,
And make every effort not to cry,
How marvelous my God has been,
To create for me this beautiful scene.

I feel the sand beneath my feet,
so wonderful, so warm so sweet.
I must make this a weekly event,
For It was truly time well spent.

I once had a heart,
so loving and true.
But all that has changed,
Since I met you.
Inside my chest where once was love,
now rests a stone a boxers glove.
I advertised myself for all to see,
and still you made a fool of me.
with all your words and deceptive lies,
you filled my heart with bits of ice.
so now when I am cold and hard,
you tell me that you are so sad.
to know that you have lost a love,
that for many years you had dreamed of.
I died inside when i found out,
exactly what you were all about.
cause all the money in this world,
will never buy my heart of gold.
I'm saving it for someone real,
someone who can really make me reveal,
The passion that lies inside.
