I PROMISE

Confused not knowing what she wants of her true concern.

She’s confused not knowing what he wants,

Slowly her heart turns, surely her heart burns.

Sing amongst her self, songs of morn.

A morn for help.

Soon trapped in what maybe mistake.

She turns her face,

For another in wait, but is it too late?

For the sake of love doves cry.

No kisses just hugs, a farewell, a good by.

As she pulls away he sighs.

Two similar paths that pass each other in one night.

In one night two lives change.

Because these options brought forth will he ever be the same?

And if ever given the chance, he would feel no shame

Over& over in his brain he hears her sing.

One offers love, the other only offers a ring.

Desperately holding back his true self,

Showing not what lies inside.

Pretending to be nonchalant, he can not decide.

In perception his first impression was nothing of his true like.

Standing behind a wall built for no woman to break.

He opens the door…..

She turns her face,

For another in wait, but is it too late?

Minutes turn to hours, and hours turn to days.

Still no reply, no reason why, not a word, nothing to say.

Am I cursed?

Did each verse mean nothing?

Not yet,

Not yet hurt, but in search of something.

Her minds open to many options, and many men.

Her heart closed and her want thin.

Wondering what lies lie behind that grin.

He with much in common NEEDS to know if it’s pretend.

Allowing the other to hide you,

He in common dreams of being inside you,

Before the other brides you.

A soft kiss on the neck- the taste

A hug good by- the grace.

She turns her face,

For another in wait, but is it too late?

I Promise pt.3( the promise land)

In just one night vivid visions can change one mans life.

Mentally enriched with depictions of her standing with him as wife.

A brighter day that is so sunny.

Joyful as child’s play,

The words I say are its milk and honey.

Come dance in a ritual of love.

A land afar, to this place I rush.

Being amazed I hush.

Shhhhh…..nothing is said.

I am lead to the place my soul fled.

Dreading going home, this is where I shall rest.

Subtle as the shores of the Nile.

Tickles in my spine refined by a smile.

Is this the promised place to Zion’s child?

A mood that shall not move, ore change its grove.

Built with bolts that shake not loose.

Passion that hates not you.

Listen, listen

You can hear the hum of hearts beating steadily.

The voices of angels sing heavenly.

& if heaven be beyond this or better,

Still will I leave this place never.

Though alone, I am at home with myself.

I have grown, but still young in good heath.

Where the winds blow, brushing across my lips.

Hand cuff wounds heal that once were on my wrist.

Goals achieved, once on my list.

The honor of being promised with bliss.

Close your eyes

Imagine this place.

Before he or she turned their face.

Waiting for another, no lover should think it’s too late.

For this is not a land of physical attributes.

This is a land that is mentally absolute.

The promise land.

Each woman is promised a man,

& each man is promised a lover to take his hand.

Though I know you may not understand- part 1, 2 and, 3

They spoke of many people and each of them equally weak.

Shut up and take your seat, and reread each verse.

From a third person perspective it explains it all,

Including your self getting hurt.

Also how e all treat each other like dirt.

Dirt witch you came.

One day back into the dirt you shall go.

Life repeats its self, from dirt you’ll grow.

My hopes are that what I’ve wrote

Will help up sprout flowers from sand.

So listen, please listen if you can.

I promise you a promise land.
