it's hard to gaze into your dark eyes for very long. i tremble and lose myself. my eyes are pale from too many sunsets and chasing dreams along midnight beaches. but, when i see the light that rises up from the depths of your eyes, i sink into you and am careless about ever coming up. your eyes will take me before the rest ever does. had your friendly eyes not caught me unaware i would see clearly today. as it is i cannot open or close my eyes without seeing you.
