broken hearted

like drops of rain
on a misty day
are the tears of my heart
since you ran away

like thunder in my mind
are the words
that you spoke
when in doing so
my heart you broke

shadows now stand
were once there stood light
as i let you go
without struggle or fight

yet sit here i wait
my eyes filled with tears
my heart filled with pain
and wishing you near

for your love was mine
and mine yours
yet to end it this way
did close many doors
