MUSE OF MINE

What is a muse?
A poet's inspiring goddess.
A female deity of divine beauty.
A gifted woman that is adored by all.

In Greek Mythology there were nine
Goddesses to inspire a wide range of art
Bringing forth what's in the heart
Of every artist to set them apart

A deity of such beauty that's so divine
Guiding an artist to find their creative drive
That will allow their art to come to life
And give beginners a reason to strive

A gifted woman we artist enshrine
For the inspiration that she exudes
Bringing out a vast variety of moods
We artist contort and then smooths

So, thus describes that
Muse of Mine

THE WRITTEN PICTURE OF A CONFUSED MIND

A celestial body rising high above a field of green
give the perfect compliment to the warm summer twilight
lit with soft shades of purple, blue, and pink
causing me to stop and stare at the scene
that has graciously materialize within my sight
but scared to lose the vision, I do not dare a blink
for the apparition I see is full of mystique
taking my thoughts on a journey so compelling
that I myself can not understand the way they flow
so inside my head the mental shutter clicks
capturing the moment in gorgeous detailing
as phantom shapes move slowly along below.

A SLICE OF HEAVEN UNSEEN

Curling spirals of flames sweet kiss
Illuminates a white sand maze
An orb reflecting the earth's hues
the sky, the soil, and the grass between
All symbols of innocence that will remain
Made in the heavens with untouched uniqueness
Give an elagant splash of style and grace
to an early morning muse
that keeps everything serene
even when tears fall like rain
The promise within can't be dismissed
For rare gems are found in uncharted places
All different, each with a special use
Uncover them all and the truth will be seen
and a world of knowledge will be gained
For a little slice of heaven with all this
would be nothing without a founding base
Giving the view of all views
Of the otherwise unseen
Much like that of a single tear stain

About this poem:
This poem has two meanings. The first, a complete tranquil space not marred by humanity. The second, the serene beauty of a woman's complete being.
