A thousand steps
Walking a crocked fence
Everywhere I'm looking
All I see is ends
Going ahead to tumble
Stepping back just to trip
Wobbling isn't easy
Praying that I won't slip
Reach out a hand will you?
Catch me if I fall
I'll try to overcome this
Crooked fences and all

Dreary days
Staring out the window
Watching time flow past
Like an endless chain
Gray skies stretch out
Tumbling and twirling
Spinning and Twisting
When did they begin?
Who knows when they will end
And the rain keeps falling
Sleepless nights
Droplets pattering upon leaves
Restless murmur
The wind keep whispering
Surely there's more
to life than this
And the rain keeps falling
