A COLD ISLAND

The Island was hot! Her blood was cold!
Spaniard, French, and Afro-Indian blood iced through her veins
Her eyes green as the waters;
Her hair black as the night
The merchants came on ships to discover her sight.
To purchase her beauty; to witness her light.
Her Mother was dead! Her Father had fled, for opportunity.
Where the red, white, and blue waved in unity.
Leaving behind his seed, cold blood from different mothers.
Separated by these waves.
She awoke to a prison when the c*ck crowed.
These economic prison bars and money hungry prison guards are not balanced! She cried.
As her tears fed salt to the ocean tide.
Pregnant with poverty and a child on the way.
Abortion she pondered as she lay in dismay “I’ve done it before”, she thought.
Should I do it today?
Nay, the fetus kept growing and the child lived to play
Yet, the suns beams were not seen, never showing a ray.
And her flag colors whispered, “No choice, but to stay”
As her soul’s vocals waved back; it’s December in May!

"TiCk ToCk"

Tick Tock my heart, Tick Tock my clock
One day I'll leave this earth
Thanks to the Lord i've been re-birthed
Im fighting a war that has no $worth$
A fight you can't see but inside of me
Im out of jail, but still not free
Cause that serpent sees what "HE" wants me to be
He knows my weaknesses, so he picks at my brain, my flesh
When he sees something thats pure and fresh
So swift to hear it but can't touch the "SPIRIT"
Thanks Glory to God for his gift
War wont end today, nor tommorow
I'll feel happiness, I'll feel sorrow
But with the Lord this war "HE" will win
Tick Tock my heart, Tick Tock my clock
Til my soul meets the Lord in the wind

About this poem:
This poem is an expression of the war im in. It gets easier and easier with My King's SPIRIT in my body. This poem is also temporary even as this dust is temporary. I have only been here for 24 yrs, and the only thing I want to take with me is a blameless soul for that day of judgement. This poem will not be remembered forever, the only thing that will be remembered forever is the saints that have been sealed and have obeyed the commandments of the Eternal King that came from Heaven. Here is that straight and narrow way--- www.wilsonrdchurchofchrist.com
