AndsomeAndsome Poetry (7)

i see

what time should i call
i wait
when can i see
i wait
what time is good for you
i wait

you do it all
i see
everything that was ours is no longer me
i see
no family
i see

what you want
me
to feel your loss
me
alone i see
me

Time heals all

Time heals
All
In time we heal
We forget what is real
Reinvent what we feel
To allow time to heal
In time
All
Must feel
That time is real

How my daughter died

Chewing…relentlessly
Chomping on gum,
Open jawed cow

Telling me its routine
Nothing strange here
Life chewing normality

Don’t question me
Do not question the normality
Any idiot can see…

she is dieing…

not me.

About this poem:
It doesn't matter, we all die, it just is, the formation of the words is a bi product of the pain....there are no words to describe the futile nature of a normal guy watching his child die...while the mid wife chews gum...I shouldn't post this but there it is. To me poetry is an expression of the pain. We all die anyway...she lived until she was 2yrs old but she died at birth.

Now

what i do now
wander from room to room
sink from drink to drink
think from then to now

what i do now
TV on laughing out loud
pretending
everything is alright

what i do now
word games like scrabble
making words with no meaning
company some how

what i do now
waiting wondering
is this now
or should i wait

miss

i didn't try
i tried
not to do the same again
i tried
to stop and just be
i tried
to know who is me
i didn't try
to be the me that you wanted to see

you miss me
you missed me
I miss you
I missed you
We miss the us of we

my happpening
my daughter
taken from me
the price
for we
a we that has no you
that has no me

one

All I can do now is watch you
Like a star a million miles away
I see you shine
The unknown that cannot be defined

All I can do is talk to myself
About how bright you are
I write a million words on your beauty
for me, words that you will not see

All I can do is walk the earth
Waiting for you to pass through my sky
as a million years go by
I hear myself asking why

All I can do is remember your light
As it dims through the darkest night
I count the million reasons you're so far away
That I want you not a strong enough pull to make you stay

see within

Begin with the skin
The skin we walk in
The skin we talk in
The skin we breathe in
We begin with the sin
Peel it back, see within
The skin.
