Plummeting

Wait a little
Thou art stumbling
It is a dark, cold place
Where I am standing

Senseless the apparitions
Of strangers come and gone
How they speak to me
This is not where you belong

Fear the angel
Whose breath falls upon darkened wings
Whose beauty is barren
Falls from his heart plummeting

Cautious steps
Thou art carelessly fumbling
Over the strangest things
And from where I'm standing

I see heartache disguised
An almost unruly distention
Words that flutter like sickness
And this mistaken redemption

Come - follow not this path
Whose sands merely bring suffering
Whose trees are like bad memories
Fall through your heart plummeting

Softly now
Those steps of mourning
Thou art dulled
By expectancy

Mirriad of strangers
Whose thoughts linger in deprivation
Who hath forsaken mercy
By their own institution

Fear the hand
Whose pulse is waked by tragedy
Whose intention is fatal
With its soul falls life plummeting

And with the greatest ease
Slips life through cold fingers
Twisted ironically
Choked by the hatred which lingers

Stand aside now
Thou art tumbling
It is a hard, stoney place
Where I am standing

Fear the eyes
Whose gaze clutters responsibility
Whose speech is incoherent
Falls from the lips like plummeting

But shelter the innocense
Whose weakness abounds on tethered wings
Whose hopefulness breathes through this grief
Sheds its plague like plummeting

Just

There seems before me an unending abyss
Thoughts waver on in transperancy
I don't know them

All life seems everywhere all at once
And I am waiting to view even just one scene
Completely

But time stands from his distance, his finger pointing
Shouting surreptitious things
I don't know him

In all honesty it seems not a moment has passed
Yet fate draws in her breath with a harrowing countenance
Like all is ending

Where was I, all this time contemplating
Watching leaves falling from trees
Candles burned and my eyes faltered with worry
And I thought: Just let it be

Moments become an unending series of events like dreaming
Shifting in sometimes catastrophic positions
Where I cannot discern meaning

Like memories of lives lived and still yet to come
Catching at the fabric of eternity
Openly freying

I am not yet convinced these shadows are as disturbing
As their presence continuously makes me feel
I don't own their freedom

In this sense they are anthropomorphic contingencies
Harnessed to the graveyard of diabolical plethora
Where hope is failing

Have I any part in this, fate all this time waiting
Watching me trying to come to my senses
As I stood far too many times at the edge of my soul
When I thought: Just let it go...

To Cross that Bridge

Whispering in dark corners of the mind
Places the world has never seen
Keeping secret
And the silence, whose stillness denies
Where have you been

I saw a landscape, seems a hundred years ago
Green fields and towering oaks
So strong then
And this wilderness cut short by dark clouds
And raging flames within the soul

To cross that bridge
To stand on ground that does not quake
And shiver
To watch the earth move about you
Like you are delivered

To see the shadows in the distance
Move away
And breathe the light of day again
What would it take
To live this way again

What would it mean to rise above the weakness
In pursuit of new horizens
And this grief
Alone in its vial, forever a friend released
Only remembered

Those shadows that smile and mimic the truths
Of days no one will ever know
But you
Companions of familiarity and doubt in those hours
When the silence should bring you peace

To cross that bridge
And find meaning in your mistakes
And purpose
To know the world is an open door
Despite the form it takes

To see you have everything you need
Around you
Regardless of the time or place
What would it take
To live this way again

Is

Peace befalls
Dispells the shadows
Across his face

He seems
Silent in comfort
And stilled inside this place

I am
Quiet in admiration
Contemplating his gentle grace

He breathes
So silent, his eyes
A soft florid glow

Here
Where the time
Is but a relic to what we know

Grateful am I
To live beside him
Here where lies my soul

He is the moment
Resignation brings
When all is simple

The air
When it is pure

He smiles
Brings forth a warmth
Which love begets

Measureing thoughts
With a moment
A single sense

A divine
Perfect ease
And content

One which dispells
All unhappiness and
Is

Yes

Sarah smiled
Her eyes were downcast
And she told a story
While her heart beat faster

And he listened
Patiently at first
and with tremendous gesture
He knelt beside her

She said:
"Truth lives like shades of autumn
Awaiting spring
Dawn's lovliest hours
Which winter brings

"She cried
Summer's fateful blossom
For she knows
The hours will come to a close

"And she lay her head down
Upon a breath of cold
For she knows
In time she will again regrow"

There he smiled
Wiped a tear from her cheek
And thought how beautiful
She is when she's weak

And she said:
"I am that moment of truth
Sleeps inside my heart
The blossom
Whose love awaits the spring inside you

"Do you understand?"
And he said:
"Yes."

Sleep

Dream
Dream little cerubus
As daylight begins to fade

Is not the silence
Inspired
And brings forth all manner of change

Sleep
Sleep now in quiet
The sleep that angels keep

As low the moon glows
Shining softly
Through the glass, its beams

Drawn forth admires
Over thoughts as fields
And ravines

Rest
Rest little sereph
As peace reveals her grace

Is there not guidence
Her hand the divine
A love that covers your face

A comfort
A warmth which desires
And covets all manner of faith

As now in sleeping
Brings alive that place
And lay thee dreaming

Lay thee now at rest
And be safe
Safely sleeping

Safely dreaming...
