When women argue there is noise and disdain,when men argue there is violence and pain, when countries argue there is death and despair, So tell me please does humanity really care,
We look back and wonder what point to that conflict, what point of that war, and still we are unable to say never no more no more.

When I was young and full of dreams, I thought a captain I would be, to better mankind and enrich many lives, for all these hopes I did truly strive,

But as the years have rolled away I can not say my dream has stayed, I did my best to right the wrongs and fight the fight, to attack injustice when in my sight, to protect the gentle the weak and young, but when you look can you see what I have done, The lives I changed are real and true but alas are far to few.

Oh Terrible Time


Oh terrible time you take us all, you only spare the ones that fall,
your march is endless on and on, so in a flash a life is gone,
you never slow nor easy your pace thus ensuring us a frightful race,
and as you speed form day to day you make no allowance for our age,
with minds slowing and bodies creaking,
you cruel time leave us weeping,
for days passed by, when we where young and full of life
and to your ticking we paid no mind.
