this pic was taken in early spring 2011 from the visitor center parking lot. It is looking back (west) on the way to Whittier and shortly before the 2 mile long tunnel that runs through a mountain to get to the fishing village of whittier. Had I been faced the other way the pic would be showing where you USED to be able to see Whittier Glacier
