Winchester Mystery House Puzzle

Sarah Winchester was the widow of gun magnate William Wirt Winchester. She believed that the spirits of those killed by the guns her husband made were going to do her in. She consulted a spiritualist who told her that as long as she continued to build on to the house she would live. Construction continued on the home until her death 38 years later
There are roughly 160 rooms, including 40 bedrooms, 2 ballrooms (one completed and one unfinished) as well as 47 fireplaces, 10,000 window panes, 17 chimneys (with evidence of two others), two basements and three elevators.
I have actually gone on several tours in this home when I lived in California. it's the wildest home I ever saw. there are stairways that lead to ceilings and doors that open on upper floors that drop off to the ground. this was done in an attempt to thrwart what she believed to be the spirits of the guns victims
and who can say she was right or wrong??

there is so much history in this house. but I was a kid when we went and I am sure I thought everything about the home was haunted
now, I would happily live there and love to experience these spirits
of course if I actually saw one I would be unable to get out of the house fast enough
you can do a google search on this home and see some aerial shots on just how big this home is. when they do the tours, they are broken down into sections of the home. it would take several tours to see the entire place. on just one of the tours you will walk for a couple miles during the tour and never go to the same room twice.
another feature Sarah kept up with was numbers. there were 13 steps, or windows in a room and many other superstitious features. anyone traveling to San Jose California (where this home is) should really try to plan at least one tour of this place. it really is a pretty home too and one that you will never see another quite like it.
I sure hope Sarah is resting in peace as she so seemed to be trying to get her soul right even if it was in an unusual way
