I lived near the Plaza at KC and Westport. Great place, reminded me of Virginia except no water around.

I got a Proposal from The Embassy Suites... and what I read i was not Happy with it as I felt it way out of Line, tho I have not done this before, and I am Learning, But I Wrote them back and said that i felt that they should try to accomadate us better, bringing possibly Fifty????? a Hundred People..... so I am waiting to see what she writes back to me..... I Purposly told her that we may find another place.... this was kindof a Bluff... but maybe true too.... so I will Post her proposal, and let everyone read what she sent

Thank you for considering the Embassy Suites KCI for your upcoming Get Together in April. The price depends on how much of our Ballroom space you are requiring. For our Ambassador Ballroom, which can hold 100 people with a dance floor, the Food and Beverage Minimum is $4,000 plus tax and service charge. Our menu prices start at $29++ per person. We can offer a Cash Bar (where the guests pay for their own drinks) with a Bartender fee of $50++ per hour. Or you can purchase a Keg and bottles of wine on your tab if you prefer. If you think you will have more than 100 people, you will need half of our main ballroom and the Food and Beverage Minimum is doubled.

Hello and Welcome, Everyone this is the Proposal I was Just sent... so I hope every involved will do some discussing this, and finding solutions... and HELP> ME!!!!!! By Giving Input and sugestions...... as I cannot Pay this..... or does everyone want to pitch in so much and go for it???????? Just needing some Coversation!!!
And yes all , we do need to be discussing this as these costs, or we just meet there and DO NOT use their options and do something else.... so I am open to thoughts and any sugestions would be appriciated, Larry

I'm not sure we need to go to the trouble of renting a ballroom with a band and paying huge prices. I really doubt there's any way 100 people are going to attend - I could be wrong...but I think we should just play it by ear when we get there and find a local pub that will accomodate our needs. Renting a ballroom, a band, bartender, food, etc seems a bit over organized and I'd hate for there to be an extra financial burden on attendees due to others who choose to back out due to cost. Feel free to disagree with me and let me know what y'all (the ones who seriously are planning to attend) think. I'm open minded but I don't have an open pocketbook...sorry.
