This is an automated phoneline, so donating will take about 7 minutes in total to go through the process, but it is charged at a normal landline rate.

Fairplay to you bab!

I donated today at my local bank.

These people truely need our help. No matter what we are going through. These poor people are far worse off.

You are a good person for trying to make awareness to this plight.

handshake thumbs up

SATURDAY 16th JANUARY DAILY MAIL ARTICLE:

Britains have donated more than £2million to help Haiti in only 36 hours.

The money was given even before the appeal on tv and radio for the Disasters Emergency Committee, which is co-ordinating the Haiti Earthquake appeal on behalf of 13 UK aid agencies, was broadcast yesterday.

Aid will be distributed through Action Aid, British Red Cross, CAFOD, Care Interenational UK, Chritain Aid, Concern Worldwide, Help the Aged, Islamic Relief, Merlin, Oxfam, Save the Children, Tearfund and World Vision. DEC chief exectutive Brendan Gormley said: "We are delighted at the generosity of the British people but it is vitally important that people continue to donate".

The DEC said the money would be used to buy supplies as close as possible to the disaster area and sent straight to those in neeed.

The sentiments are great and the response is too - but the military co-ordination is a farce. Stuff that is already there cannot be dispersed to the exact places of need. There are no cleared areas for the US Navy heavy choppers to deliver supplies right at the point at designated areas than rely on Road transport from The airport and the neighbouring country. That should have been organised and done on day 2/3 by the able bodied and the military, even if it meant involving parachute troops, medics and supplies which shouldhave been the first prority. - The logistics are taking far too long and Hilary Clinton going there is a waste of money. If more stuff piles up due to lack of dispersal from the airport there will be even more problems.

Doubtless all the Brown government would have been on holiday in their second homes abroad and issued a statement through Brussels that Germany voted against providing any assistance as it was the wrong kind of quake and we are not suitably *Aryan*

Sorry but I just can't help taking the piss out of the political hypocrisy and corruption that this crap nation is involved in

It's 2 gentle reminders for you to put your own private disc aircraft up for auction on ebay. Then donate the money that you get for it to the Haiti Earthquake appeal wave

Don't thank me for interpretating the 2 bumps for you. It was my pleasure tip hat
