RE: HAS ANYONE FOUND LOVE ON HERE?

Congratulations! I am very happy for you. Long distance romance is such a challenge - thumbs up

RE: men searching

they are real guys just not on here for anything meaningful in life.

RE: Maggie Thatcher state funeral, will cost 12 million Euro.

How we celebrate our important rituals says something about our customs, beliefs, politics, and society.

the Brits have a lot to express in this funeral - 12 million Euro to pay their respects to her memory and what she meant to the UK.

RE: men searching

Is the question why has this site listing more "good asian women" whose marital status divorced than there are "good asian men" with that status?

RE: Boston explosions

Isn't that where they find a suspicious package and blow it up under controlled circumstances? Miami has done this many times - especially near our train stations. Those law enforcements guys don't mess around....

I would hate to leave my lunch bag on the train - if it isn't stolen by someone, it sure would end up in a controlled explosion.

RE: Knocking the forums door.

cswelcome welcome new face here - so how do you fix your heart starting coffee in the morning?

RE: ORIGIN OF UNIVERSE: GOD / BIG BANG

... we've come for your liver? is not a skit?

RE: post your weight

why???? giggle

RE: Boston explosions

There is so much destruction going on in the world - I think that it always has been so, however the means of mass communication systems has allowed news in a far away country to be laid are our doorstep.

I do note about how and why we see the news we see - thank goodness I prefer to get my news from the international news outlets - it would be terrible to just rely on the propaganda of fox news or some other dribble.

RE: ORIGIN OF UNIVERSE: GOD / BIG BANG

loved the skit -

RE: The world's friendliest countries

and to further distract from the friendliness of this thread - I see consistently in my community that people are extremely good at throwing loose change and coins at those in distress - not really helping - sometimes things can be solved by being a good listener - money doesn't solve a lot of things in the world.

RE: ORIGIN OF UNIVERSE: GOD / BIG BANG

and that just about sums it up - always enjoy the sage words from Monty Python.

RE: The world's friendliest countries

Mexico is ranked 15th in economic friendliness - imagine that.

RE: The world's friendliest countries

now, now this is why we are ranked unfriendly..... hole

RE: Divorced (Marital Status)

we'll try and protect you from shock - however, the internet gives people ideas that they act in anonymity - where they can say any ole thing that comes in their head and out their keyboard - doesn't mean they really believe it or feel it. sir bobby we'll watch out for you a try to give you a "shock alert" warning. cheers

RE: The Pledge of Allegiance of America

citizenship is interesting - one of my friends had to decide to either move to germany to serve a few years in the military or give up his german citizenship at the age of 18. I never found out what he choose to do?

I understand and met a few men here in the US that became citizens through serving in the American military.

RE: The Pledge of Allegiance of America

I really really love the colors of the American flag - love to see it flying everywhere I travel here in the USA. Singing the national anthem brings tears to my eyes and pride into my heart.....

RE: The Pledge of Allegiance of America

not give up citizenship - give up all other allegiances and loyalty.

RE: The Pledge of Allegiance of America

Yeah, isn't it odd. In the oath one has to give up all loyalty, blah, blah, blah to all other countries etc, etc when becoming an American - yet the country of your birth or in which you have had citizens rights will recognize you always as one of their own.

When I swore a sacred oath to the United States of America - I never renewed nor do I hold any other passport than my US passport. However, I worked many years in Canada and have a lot of family in Canada - and if I get really sick in my old age - I will return to Canada - because Canada knows how to take care of themselves and each other. A lesson America needs to learn.

RE: The Pledge of Allegiance of America

so true that social security benefits are not or ever meant to be a pension - for some still having only their social security check and their job as greeter at walmart to sustain them.

I am sorta a good "catch" - own my own home, no debts, will get a Canadian and an American pension when the time comes, in good health.... just waiting to travel to Scotland to find that special someone - kilt optional.

RE: Who is the owner of your thoughts?

blushing I am the sum of all my parts.....

who said that anyway?

RE: The Pledge of Allegiance of America

Social security is not about yielding a return on our investment - it is a way to help those whose employer did not give them a pension, whose life circumstances could not afford them their own savings plan, to take care of all of us who paid into this system. I think of social security like our public schools or our libraries - we pay into to them through varies methods like taxes and it is available for all of us and we all benefit in some ways to these free things -

I am not so romantic a thinker to suggest that people should not take care of themselves because the government won't take care of us individually - they are only there to take care of us as a collective.

and btw I worked 2 and 3 jobs while here in America, worked and paid for my college education myself - and never had anyone to rely on to help me out financially.

RE: Divorced (Marital Status)

rolling on the floor laughing smart - when the stores ask me for my email or telephone number I always ask them to use their own, instead.

Guess that means in the case of when one answers "divorced" we need to know "whose asking?"

RE: Who is the owner of your thoughts?

maybe the question is more of does anyone other than myself care who I am?

RE: The Pledge of Allegiance of America

the fallacy - America is not crumbling -

RE: New here and saying hi!

cswelcome welcome to the wacky world of the forums.

RE: The Pledge of Allegiance of America

tell that to the 83 year old women living in a rented room, whose family is all dead and gone and must rely upon "the kindness of strangers" that the social security was a bad investment.

It is when sociopaths in our political and government get involved into changing the social security system that is in place - and it started with crazy fear mongers that shout that it is a bad investment, that it is a bad choice.....

Galrads you are just talking crazy talk.

RE: Mickey's Weather Thread

the flowers are well in bloom - lovely tropical weather - hurricane season starts May first.

RE: The Pledge of Allegiance of America
