RE: Many say "Read the Quran" well, here are some verses

You are very right my dear friend. In some cases there are those that are adept on the circumstance yet refuse to acknowledge the problem like our president who is playing deaf and dumb at the moment.

Challenges we are up against finding that someone on the net

I am sure so many of us joined this site looking for someone. So many are successful I suppose but my thread is about our frustrations we have encountered in that search including but not limited to being scammed.

In your experience, what challenges and or frustrations have you encountered if there is any and how did you handle it?

If you haven't found that love are you still hopeful?

dunno (of course, that is why you are still here)maybe. I have to admit, I am not here looking anymore, rather I am here because of friends and all the writes.

I hope we can all learn from those experiences.

Thank you all for your participation and comments (if any).teddybear teddybear wine wine cheers cheers

I agree very much indeed. On the Desiderata it claims that boredom and loneliness do get thwarted by the presence of friends. When I feel alone, no cure could do it better than with friends. And again for me, God.teddybear teddybear

Hello Hoolet, thank you for joining in. Friendship is indeed a very valuable part of our lives.

On your addition for God. Yes to me, however, for those who don't believe, I don't mean to declare that they are incapable of having friends. I do have some atheist and agnostic friends and some of them are very spiritual yet refuse to acknowledge the existence of God and I don't argue against that position. For me and my family, God does play a very good role in our lives.teddybear teddybear

My dear beautiful lady, there is so much pleasure in meeting friends. Joys overflow from your heart just with the excitement of meeting them.

Bless your heart and you are a gem as a friend. One day we will meet. I am looking forward to it.teddybear teddybear lips lips bouquet bouquet

Yes, only mangoes don't grow in our state.

Friendship

Rob, I know how those fruits are so delicious because of the weather, I suppose.

Take care.

Friendship

Yes Rob, I know all too well, how great tasting the mangoes there. I have shopped and ate all your fruits there and like in the tropics, your fish and your fruits are pretty much like those from Asia.

Very plump and tasty. specially from the Eastern coast of Australia. I most enjoyed those from Queensland, as well as the ones in Brisbane. and Sydney, too.

RE: what are you thinking about Syria Muslim

And that is the biggest barrier of our understanding on the ability to tolerate one another. This living on your own ways and be who you are doesn't always work in the global connection of all of us. We have to let go some that are truly offensive to others and establish what is tolerable to one another. Sure I will not give up my eating the best meat in the world and maybe just work out on the reasons why they don't. Sure I wouldn't impose on them wearing bikini (which of course I love to wear on the swimming pool) but let's face it, most of these stupid practices are just that stupid. Let us be more accommodating and understanding on those frivolous values and move on. Or else stay where you are, I don't bother you and you don't bother me attitude.

Very true Bod, just being able to say hello and wishing them good spirit, does alleviate that lonely mood and sometimes very sad existence.teddybear teddybear

If I can, like my parents taught us, there is always a seed of good deed in caring and wishing others to be happy. We do celebrate Weddings, Christmas, birthdays and almost everything with gift giving. I am not limiting gift giving on these occasions, like All said, the most that gives so much happiness are those unexpected..teddybear teddybear

It is okay CC. we all do have that mode once in a while, but getting back to our good nature is that all that matters. teddybear teddybear

Friendship

All exactly. But in reality, all that we are, at least how I am brought up, is all a gift. I didn't ask to be born yet I am here and therefore value and share what we all have for the good of all.

That is one most genuine spirit of friendship. Our ability to care and to share. teddybear teddybear

Hello All, we should and must be allowed to express what it is in our belief and traditions as long as it doesn't hurt others. Gift giving is a gesture that is so underrated in this world. With or without religion, gift giving is part of our life. lol..teddybear teddybear

Friendship

Thanks Bod, and now it has become a very strong traditions. My grandchildren, I am already done shopping for all of them and my children, too. We are all very happy and that is all that matters.teddybear teddybear

Friendship

And to get back to my friendship thread. I do love the idea of gift giving. Whether or not associated to religion, I believe my friends, do enjoy the gifts I give them as much as I do enjoy all the gifts I have received. It is not a requirement of my friendship, to be able to give gifts, but all we do for our friend is in fact a gift. the gesture of care, love and nourishment is all a gift. Commercial or not..

Friendship

Perhaps, but like I said part of the spirit of gift giving associated with the kindness and generosity of Jesus, I believe it has become a popular source of connection on the joys of gift giving and Santa to me, still is, a very good figure to embody generousity. But like Bod said, it is created partly to justify the lavish decorations, displays and come on store lure for gift buying. I have nothing against it. I have brought up my children with the idea of giving.

Friendship

Yes it started in the book written by May and was used to commercialize the gift giving. If you are Christian, chances are there is a spirit of gift giving in that observance of Christmas and that is all there is to it.

It has nothing to do with the serious part of being religious which I am not. I am Catholic and believe in all the good things my religion has taught me and Rudolph is one reindeer that I grew up knowing so much about it. The song for Christmas Carols is one very good source of joyful spirit.teddybear teddybear

Friendship

No it is more like part of our developed customs for commercialism which in turn served the additions of joys in the celebration. I have nothing against it, I was brought up knowing that there is Santa who gives all the gifts, but eventually outgrow all our child like mode and realize that it is all part of the gift giving spirit.

Friendship

Yes, I double checked and it is instilled in our popular practice of believing in the Santa. Of course I value it for children as I made them all believe the gifts were brought in by Santa and his reindeer.

But we all know in serious and actual belief it is very relative.

Friendship

I am Christian, and I believe this Rudolp the Red nose Reindeer is part of our belief and traditions in celebration of Christmas. Then again, I can be wrong. Is Rudolph being known in any other religion? I might be wrong. Hence the Catholic..

Friendship
