Actually...the sharper the knife -the better.. you curl your fingers around the object to be slice using the edge of your fingers as a guide and then slice through -remembering to keep a form grip on the object.. Another thing do not slice off the ends of a lemon or orange before slicing- they can be used as 'Grip" when slicing...
Your absolutely correct (last sentence) and all that an older gentleman with experience and pazzazz can see and nuture... especially those that live in a certain place in Australia
If I were in love it would be a mixture ... the effervescence of Champagne .. the complexity of an aged red burgundy or the wonderment of a 3yr old shiraz.. at times the brashness of a cool climate Sauvignon Blanc or crisp Riesling .. at other times the youthfulness of a (Gamay)Beaujolais or Sangoivese.. intwined would be the sweet subtlety of an beerenauslese,Sauternes or Tokaji and to complete the intense nutty sweetish complexity of a long lived vintage port or a fine champagne cognac/armagnac.. cigar?
