No matter how glose we are with our kids and grand kids, intepedence is very important to all of us,unless dictated by health reasons.- Then,maybe our relatives are in need of a helping hand.

I was out with work colleagues, celebrating my retirement,, they were mostly young ladies in their mid 20's and 30's
I was taken back by their lovely comments,about how, i influenced them, was always there to listen to their problems, kind in word and deed,to them,and how they appreciated it so much.

Life always has been hard for the vast majority in the world. So those of the non affluance,is proper to be taught and advice, that the road to success,is not strowned with rozes.
Oh.well. Assumed just because Pakistan is a nuclear country, and S,Arabia an oil producing one, made the OP to think, those 2 countries,are powerful and can hold the rest of the world,at ransom.
How someone can be so ignorant,to include as "most powerful countries", such as "Pakistan and Saudi Arabia". The saying is right. ""Ignorance is bliss",for some.
