Central American Native Spicy ancestral Hot Cocoa

A tasty way to carry on your ancestral traditions, if you're of that bloodline.

If not, and you like chocolate and spicy . . .then feel free to warm yourself, by sipping
this spicy, silken cup of coziness.

Ingredients

Heat an 8 ounce serving of Hemp Milk (or Almond Milk) <— *** Natives are casein intolerant ***

To your favorite mug add the following ingredients:

1 tsp cacao powder
1 tsp beepollen ( This is optional, if needing a little energy boost)
1/8 tsp ceylon cinnamon
1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper
dash of cloves
1 tbsp date nectar syrup
1 tbsp raw agave
1 tsp medicinal mushroom powder blend (optional)
1 capful of real vanilla extract (NOT flavoring)
1/2 tsp ginger juice

Directions

Stir into the nut/seed milk 1 capful of real vanilla extract (NOT flavoring) and 1/2 tsp ginger juice. Once the milk is well heated, pour into the mug with the other ingredients. Mix well, sip, and enjoy!

Notes

The ginger juice can be subbed for ginger powder, although it's a weaker version of the cocoa.
Freshly juiced ginger gives it a powerful antiinflammatory KICK!

Avocado Shake

Despite its origin in Central and North America (Mexico), there are some records that occurred an important penetration of cultivation and consumption in colonial Brazil, being culturally absorbed: this fruit is known in practically all regions of the country.

However, perhaps something more original is the fact of being part of the Brazilian food as "dessert" or any genre always linked to candy etc, and will rarely be consumed as salty food or similars.

Then I present a recipe of Avocado Shake, very well known here in Brazil, and I hope it is very tasty for you.
Have a good time (and drink, for sure)!

Avocado Shake Recipe

Ingredients

<> 1 ripe avocado (makes 4 servings)
<> 1 cup milk
<> Crushed ice 3/4 cup

<> Blender

Optional:
<> 1/4 cup sugar

Directions

1) Mix the avocado, milk, ice, and sugar in a blender.
<> Cut the avocado using a knife or a spoon to scoop the fruit into the blender.
The insides should be green, and perhaps vaguely yellow--but not brown. Slice away any brown bits and leave them out of your shake. Discard the lumpy skin on the outside and the hard pit in the center.

2) Blend the ingredients until the mixture is no longer chunky.
<> This may take anywhere from 30 seconds to several minutes. Keep an eye on the shake while it is blending. You may need to hold the lid down to keep it from jostling loose.
<> Keep checking the consistency until it is done. With the blender off, use a spoon to stir the mixture and check for lumpy bits. If you find any large chunks of avocado or ice, replace the lid and blend for another 10-15 seconds.
<> If it is your first time making an avocado shake - and even if it is not - sample the mixture as you go. Feel free to change the recipe to meet your tastes: add more milk for a thinner shake; more avocado, ice; more sugar or sweetener for a sweeter shake. As you interact with the recipe and consider what you like, you will get better and better at making avocado shakes.

3) Drink and enjoy!

Notes

Interesting aspects:

<> You can compost or discard the skin, the pit, and any other avocado bits that you do not want to save.

<> Any type of sugar is fine: brown, white, granulated, etc. Avocados can be bitter, but sugar will mitigate any hint of bitterness.
But...
If you are on a no - or low - sugar diet, feel free to forego the sugar and let the natural richness of the avocado shine.
Consider using natural sweeteners like honey and agave nectar. These ingredients will keep your shake sweet without exposing you to processed, industrially-refined sugar. Add natural sweeteners to taste; as a rule of thumb, start with the same amount of sweetener that is listed in the recipe, and work up or down from there.

<> Here in Brazil, we like to mix with many other fruits, such as bananas, coconut milk etc... Try something different as well!

MOJITO CUBANO

This is one of the most consumed drinks by tourism in Cuba, and obvious by the Cubans, a rich cocktail prepared with rum, and a lot of Cuban flavor I hope you enjoy it

MOJITO CUBANO Recipe

Ingredients

The first thing we are going to do is look for a good good Ron, strong if it is the Habana Club brand, much better, preferably a 3 year old. But it can also be worth another white rum of good quality.
It is necessary to look for mint leaves luckily now we find them in any supermarket in the refrigerated section. There is no mojito without mint. The lime is also very important, and can not be substituted for lemon since it would completely change the flavor. Water with gas or soda and sugar are the last ingredients that we will need.
And here with the recipe
Ingredients for the Cuban mojito: After looking for the good Ron, then we are looking for the mint twigs, luckily in Cuba they are in the portals, either in avandonados places, because it is a wild plant, but I think that in your country you can find it in any market. Are needed
1. 2 sprigs of mint or peppermint,
the second is the zucar, in Cuba the brown sugar is used a lot, really, it is advisable to do this with white sugar, it is softer
2. teaspoons of sugar (to consumer taste, but only two are recommended)
3. The juice of 1 lime
4. 45 ml (more or less) of white Ron
5. A bit of crushed or crushed ice
6. Soda or sparkling water to fill 2/3 of the glass

Directions

Preparation of this classic cocktail.
Cut the limes in half. We are going to use the juice of one lime per drink. We squeeze the limes in a glass.
We add 2 teaspoons of sugar and mix well.
Add the 2 sprigs of mint in the glass, whole, it has to be with stem and everything and gently squeeze the branches with a spoon, enough to release the essential oils of the mint. Be careful not to break the leaves.
insert the crushed ice into the glass halfway up or down.
We add the soda to fill about 2/3 of the glass.
It's time to pour the rum. We start with the amount marked and we try and increase depending on how strong we like the mojito.
Mix everything well and decorate with mint leaves. It can be taken with a straw if you like.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we Cubans do, delicious cocktail for the delights of your palate

Notes

These ingredients are for a glass of mojito.

Electric Avocado dressing

This is by far my favorite salad dressing. It's healthy, it's alkaline forming, and it's addictive. I binged on salad last week, because of this dressing, LOL

Ingredients

1 cup cucumber

1/2 tsp onion pwdr

1/4 cup avocado oil

1/4 cup avocado chunks

1 tsp fresh dill

1 tbsp lime juice

1 tsp agave

1 tsp sea salt

Directions

Combine all ingredients in Nutribullet or any blender, and blend until smooth

Notes

For a Detoxing salad, add fresh dandelion leaves to the salad. This delicious dressing will calm the pungent bitterness of the dandelion greens, enabling it to be more palatable.

*** Sorry No Photo at this time ***:
I let my ex borrow my camera. If I can remember to later, I'll photograph the dressing once I get my camera back

Chicken, Corn and Salsa Soup

Nothing's better on a cold day than a hearty warm soup. It takes less an hour to prepare and you have a soup that's 'hot' in both temp and flavor. It's my favorite. You can make it as hot or as tame as you'd like; all depends on whether you choose a mild, medium or hot salsa to use in the recipe. For different flavor combinations, you can also swap out the type of cheese and tortilla chips you use.

Chicken Corn and Salsa Soup Recipe

Ingredients

1 Pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast, Cut into Bite Size Pieces
1 ½ Cup of Water
1 14-Ounce Can of Chicken Broth
1 11-Ounce can of corn
1 Medium Size Jar of Salsa
2 Teaspoons of Chili Powder
2 Ounces of Shredded Monterrey Jack Cheese
1 Bag of Tortilla Chips

Directions

First, cut the boneless chicken into bite size pieces. Use a small skillet to brown the chicken on the stove until cooked through. In a 3-quart saucepan combine the chicken broth, the water, the corn, the jar of salsa and chili powder. Cover the mixture with a lid and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat after about 10 minutes and add the chicken. Cover the saucepan again and let it simmer for another 5 minutes. Ladle the soup into bowls. Ring the inside of the bowl with whole tortilla chips and finally top the soup with cheese.
