the will of God for Catholics

does anyone really know? we have to pray and discern and pray again it's not like it is written in the sky for us...wouldn't that be nice...God let's us know for certainty that person is for you....well we know He leaves it up to us to figure things out...angel

Seriously Women and Peace

how many times thru history have wars and so on been brought on by men...think of it yrs ago in Africa a war was stopped cause the women decided to put an end to it...were sick and tired of their young men and children boys being killed...so refused to give those men loving till they stopped fighting....and peacefully protested...sat outside a mediation room in soladarity and would not let those men out to an agreement was reached...woo-hoo...even take a current situation something more personal to show forth women get along and do not strt wars, yeah we may be catty at times to each other but...oh okay here is the example...a fellow student of mine back in 09 needed help she is hindu, i am catholic...she was a nanny taking care of a jewish family as a hindu woman, and i was taking care of her children as a catholic...did any of us girls get in each other's faces, no...also in ndu choir how many nationalities, colors of skin, personalities, philosophies are intermingled...and we r all rather close...and ,me being a non-traditional grad student...so there u go...so getting back to the earlier example maybe more wars would be stopped if the women refused to back up the men going to war...cause heya at the end of the day the man wants his meal and his woman to give him love and if she doesn't how long can he withstand that...yes, i know this worked in a civil war situation...but heya gotta start somewhere...shall expound on this later...have to get ready to go to mkt...and it's 5ish am ugh!!

For Fellow Catholics on this Sorrowful Day

Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows...this is what we sang for this morning for the Bishop...during his homily he spoke of how the Pope is in Lebanon, right now in the midst of the crisis...and we r concerned about His Holiness...and offered up prayers...also at the end of Mass before the final blessing he turned to us the NDU choir and stated,"I love this choir...because it gives us a forestaste of heaven as the music is so beautiful.!" He was rather emotional and this was a very good day for us that is for sure...At the second Mass that we sang for the Basilica I want to share with you the Hail Mary in Latin,"Ave Maria gratia plena Deminus tecum benedicta tu in mu lieribus et benedicctus fructus ventris tui Jesu...Sancta Maria Mater Dei Ora pro nobis pecctoribus pecctoribus. Ora pro nobis Ora pro nobis bunc et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen! +JMJ+ PEACE!!!angel

ok the connection is real life and the movies

the sun has set so it is officially the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross(actually have the church's crufix in my car which contains a small piece of the actual wood of Christ's cross(all Catholic churches have these)anyways i shall have to decorate this with flowers for the special holyday service tomorrow night. anyways thinking of the Cross and the petitions and so forth...and with what happened on 9/11/12 wish to talk about the problems between Catholics and Muslims (Moors in Spain many centuries ago) and of course in the movie the main character was portrayed by none other then Charleton Heston...yes, my favorite movie of all time,"El Cid," My Lord...in this epic movie the Christians and Moors battle it out...the war is won, and the Moors are driven out by El Cid...for a long time...interestingly enough he was an actual figure...in the movie he is named this by a Moor whom he had rescued and they became good friends...but in one of the memorable scenes, one of the followers of El Cid is being tortured...and a Moorish leader speaks to him is this agony worth it...and the reply is it is an honor to die for El Cid... so the Moorish man's response is...(something like) so it is...then let this be a war between your God and our god and he stabs him violently to death...in a battle later on El Cid is wounded mortally...yet instead of having a doctor's intention he keeps the spear in him and rides on with a cross on his clothing, leading the Christians unto victory and into history...the parallel is that this still goes on today w the murder/the asssination the other day...it is still a war between faith traditions...

today is the day

lots of rehearsals today...have to be there early downtown for rehearsal and performance for the Bishop and then we have a lunch break and then it is onto the next rehearsal and Mass at NDU for the next one...gives me a very miniscule idea what it would be like to be involved musically a lot...all i know is when we have been on tour it is like all we do is rehearse, perform, travel, and eat and of course SHOP us girls always make time for that...it was so much fun to shop in places like Boston, and of course Chicago(course could shop there anytime cause it is so close..but that was on our Chicago,IL, Louieville, KY, and onto Nasville, Tn...what a trip that was!!wine

just got done watching a few clips of Gerard Butler, he is soooooooo scorching hot....that voice of his, and he's such a jock, plus great actor....fell for him in the Phantom, i just luv all the emotion he expressed in that.....so much charisma...and 300 was an intense movie...and others...but one that really stand s out is PS...I love you...both the movie and the book r so intense...actually liked the book much better but the movie was really good also...anyways there was an ad of him for a men's mositurizer and his words are look sharp, not tired, enough said...yeahhhhhhh baby...when i was in California last year (3 different trips) was hoping i would c him around LA...driving on the 405 LA woman.playing the doors, racing a motorcycle on a friday nite, man this girl needs a vacation....heart beating

ok i just looked at the calendar

and realized that i need to place a serious blog...cause tomorrow is 9/11 and in the USA that is a rather sad memorial day...for myself i recall that all those years ago on the 10th i was traveling back from Baja Calif or shall we say Tijuana Mexico to be exact...was at a health spa trying to get my asthma and allergies under control and had been there for almost 6 weeks...they wanted me to stay longer but i was determined to go home...so all those yrs ago flew into chicago and it was like thank God i am back home in my own country and the next day 9/11!!! all those fellow americans back there now stuck and couldn't cross the border and other people i knew too(this was a rather famous spa and there were people from all over the world, spain, australia, england, and so on...anyways supplies couldn't get over there either...and some of these folks were very seriously ill w cancer...and due to the medicines not being sent some of them passed away...sadly...there were more losses from 9/11 then people realize...i also remember a few yrs back when i was in college and we had a mass for 9/11 and i was quite upset thinking of my friends back then stranded for weeks, and was crying ...and geeezzz the next day there was my pic in the local paper bent over w pain at the loss of my friends...i luv photography, but i hated that photographer that day capitalizing on my grief!sigh
