Some right wing group plans to stage demonstrations in front of mosques over here, saying that Islam has no place in Germany - and to underline their attitude, they intend to display Mohammed caricatures during their "protest". All this of course right at the end of ramadan.
Oddly enough, a court has actually allowed them to do that. So, the police are expecting some serious clashes.
To me this seems like sheer provocation, it has nothing to do with freedom of speech. I really do not understand why "demonstrations" like that cannot be simply stopped, before people get harmed.
you keep frustrating me a little. Half the time I have no idea, what you are talking about - you often use names that have nothing to do with peoples' screen names and it is impossible to guess, who you are talking to. Then stuff gets hinted at that probably happened ages ago, and references are made, which cannot be understood by an outsider.
So, to get something useful out of my little whinge, here is a question: how long did it take you to feel at home in the blogs?

We have cocktails, mocktails, chasers, spritzers, long drinks, soft drinks, beers, ciders, champagne in every price category, white wines, red wines (we frown upon rose here, so don't even ask), whiskeys, vodkas, flavoured and plain - in short: it's all here, come and get it.

I pity the people, who keep flogging a dead horse and repeating themselves, just because they feel the need to be the very last person to have said (or posted) something. I think they're weak, they need to prove to themselves too much that they are right, and when everyone else goes
and stops responding, they probably scream "I WIN, I WIN" on the inside.
Emotionally secure people can withdraw from an argument once everything has been said, it's a sign of maturity to accept that agreement is not always possible.
used by posters, who intend to slime their way into decent people's confidence with fake friendliness, that's nothing but a mask used while preparing yet another major backstabbing feast that will ensue when the mood strikes - it makes me wanna puke.
Have you ever come across someone like that?
Have you ever watched a rumour get out of hand and develop into something outstandingly ridiculous? After a very short time it takes on epic proportions, more people, who don't really have a clue what they are talking about but don't want to be left out, add more and more phantastical details to it, and before you know it, mass hysteria has broken out.
It's very entertaining for a observer, who looks in from the outside and shakes a) his head in disbelief and b) with laughter.
