One Trick Pony...

Years back, I often heard the phrase "One Trick Pony" on a dating/blog site from a young woman who was annoyed with two other bloggers. One only did political blogs and the other only did religious blogs. It seemed like every blog they produced was the Chicken Little variety, in that 'The Sky is Falling..." to get you to listen to their dialog.

I'm glad we don't have bloggers like that here!

RED, yes, often ponies are used in betting.

Actually it's a relatively new idiom and by urban acceptance refers to a person who basically has nothing to offer, save only one area of expertise.

That definition would be generous if applied to most of our commentors.
