Costa Rica?????!!?

I'm ready to go to Costa Rica...anyone ever been?? I heard the waves are incredible but don't drink the water. I live in Ala frickin bama so perhaps I could get my neighbor to build me a small aero plane outta sum 2 by 4's, duct tape, and fuel it on grannies homeade wine cider... yes that should get me there quite well.

Researched CR a couple of months ago, but went to Puerto Rico instead, west coast side Rincon PR has great surfing. And flights are really cheap to San Juan from the States...
It takes @3.5 hours to drive from san Juan to Rincon.

You shouldn't drink the water from the tap, used bottled or boiled the tap water before drinking depending on where you are staying. The tropical places are more or less the same, green trees, sun, sea etc. with cultures varying. Researching the place before you go would also be a great idea as someone sugested.

I spent a week in Hermosa and 2 months in Nosara over the summer... and the water there was fine... drank it the whole time :)

I was there last year but I am from Costa Rica only been here for too long. I a planning on going again in June. You will love it. it is absolutely paradise!
