The Four Agreements

My sister had sent this book to my mother... several times, because after reading it , mom would end up giving it to someone that she felt needed to read it. It is a great book written by father and son: Don Jose Ruiz and Don Miguil Ruiz. In it they talk about the spiritual teachings of the Toltec. I wanted to just put the basic fundamentals here, because if I went too deep into it , this would turn into the book itself.
The four agreements are agreements that we should make with ourselves and others, that we should live by.

1) Be impeccable with your word.
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

2) Don't take anything personally.
Nothing anything others do is because of you. What others say and do is a prejection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others , you wont be the victem of needless suffering.

3) Don't make assumptions.
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement you can completely transform your life.

4) Always do your best.
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstances simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgement, self-abuse and regret.

I have read this book, and it has helped me become a better person. Where I use to take everything personally that others said to me I do not now. It has freed me from self redicule and doubt.
If you would like to read more about these agreements, you can google it by just putting in

I have read this book several times. I have also read Don Miguel's "The Mastery of Love." It is an excellent book. Both of them helped me tremendously, to put life's choices in perspective. I hope a lot of people will read this post and get curious enough to read the books.
Kudos!!
