Not just a piece of paper

I been reading the forum lately about why get married, it's just a piece of paper.
I can't believe that people would think that way of such a sacred thing between two people.. it's not just a piece of paper. It's a vow to the one you love that you are totally and utterly committed to them. That they are your one and only and you will be together forever... till death do you part. True if you aren't totally and utterly in love with this person,, then by no means should you get married! Thats what makes marriage a joke! It's not. It should not be entered into lightly. Yes I have made the mistake marrying a person I only loved. I still love him, but I was never "in love" with him, so now we are divorced. I made that mistake once, one too many times. I would never do such a thing again, it's not fair to the person or to me.
I just wanted to clarify that , but then, it's just my opinion.angel

This is how some people look at it. If two people are in love and want to be with eachother then they do not need the marriage paper. The marriage paper is only for when they separate. It binds the two to legal obligations to eachother and children. Some people will try and reject that paper because it forces obligation.
I agree 100% with that comment posted about marriage. I believe that many people don't take the time to realize and think it out what those vows really mean or their wouldn't be so many divorces. I would love to be married one day. I have never been married; but I won't marry until I know that person really will stand true to them vows and so far they all have failed by their actions in advance.
