Pain of letting go

Everybody hurts, alrite! Now do our pain really hurt someone else? If so, knowing how long pain hurts, why do we hurt others? Or are the ones hurting selfish? Yes, selfish! Lovers leaving, should says they aren't getting it all. So why hurt as thou the leaving lover is bad? when we can just be happy and hope they find it all in their next jurney?
