Lazy Messages

Why is it, that when you get a message from people on this site the it is "texted" are you kidding me.......text my phone, have we forgotten how to write these days or is it just plain laziness.

text messaging script, is the new, language of writing, the kings English is dying, schools are having real problems, even in exam papers, being written out, and submitted in text shorthand, which to all intents and purposes is what it is, the puritans will resist this dilution of real English, as they see it, but its here to stay, time to move on, the kids are not for turning.

I'd like to think this is just a phase we're going through...... but some people have to learn to differentiate between a keyboard and a keypad.

And I'd hate to see what kind of CV or resume they manage to assemble. Perhaps they don't. dunno

I don't know if we want the King's English back Ben. I was reading some of James Cook's log entries recently and it took ages to decipher them. Or do they just talk funny in Yorkshire?laugh
