I have heard a gentleman has filed a lawsuit, claiming $500 Million against the US authorities who launched a drone attack and killed his family while destroying his house.

May be this way some common sense would prevail.

Maybe the family of the people that died as mentioned in my post above should sue the Taliban for $500 million too? Or maybe even sue the Pakistani Govt for allowing the Taliban to remain in their country.
Welldon maxmate you are genious
Max...your comment was well thought out and appreciated, but it still does not cover why the country is up in arms about the SAD deaths of the civilians, yet there is not the same outrage with the Taliban killing MORE civilians in two months.

The Taliban have existed in your country for years because your Govt didn't do anything to rid yourselves of them, until recently.
They hide in mountains where it is impossible to trace them, that is why they avoid detection and have done for a long long time.

They have set up training camps in your country but the villagers are too scared to inform the authorities of this fact.

Drones ARE the only way, at this moment in time, to kill the Taliban in remote and inaccessible areas.
Perhaps you did not read the whole article.

NO armed drones were provided. US refused it flatly for reasons unknown. The offer above was for The Unarmed Shadow drones, which are smaller than armed Predator drones that CIA uses for drone attacks. What a joke!

The same article further says "American officials have rejected giving Pakistan armed drones. The Shadow surveillance drone appears to be a compromise aimed at enticing Pakistan further into the war and helping the country’s political leadership explain the drone strikes to a deeply suspicious and anti-American public".

over 90% civilian killings are unacceptable. And to add fuel to the fire, they won't give us the armed drones, but would keep killing innocent civilians. WOW!

Why are they not conducting at least 5 times more drone attacks in Afghanistan which is the real battle ground?

This is the height of hypocrisy for Christ sake!

I think that they are, but of course it is not reported as maybe no civilian deaths? I don't know. We do know they are continuing to attack places in Pakistan and will do so until they eradicate the Pakistani taliban as much as they can.

I agree with your point about not being given ARMED drones, but to be honest, what experience have you had with them and where would you use them?
And this is what Paul Craig Roberts has to say on the subject. What do you think?

Paul Craig Roberts was an editor of the Wall Street Journal and an Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury during the Regon Regime.
Even if we take your word about the number of casualties, which is debatable, the point remains:

In a war between smaller and bigger emenies, innocent human lives were lost. Should it be called "colatteral damage" and one should get away with it?

If getting rid of Saddam was the idea, I am sure this could have been done in a much more effective way, without the loss of human lives and waste of tapayer's money, given the unlimited resources USA and Nato possesses, you know what i mean?
