Thinking about others.

Well here I am day number two. I actually wrote a note to another blogger today. Love can be so cruel sometimes that is for sure. I suddenly feel very lonely, and I am searching people on death row to write letters to. They are much more in need of mail than most people I would assume. There is a whole web site dedicated to these people. I have sort of picked a guy in prison in Florida, death row. Sometimes a simple second, and the wrong choice can change our lives, and the lives of others forever. Did you know that some of these death row inmates have been there for over 10 years? I don't quite understand that! As I sit alone writing this I think of many people locked up in a very little room. Some do deserve it for sure, but others are a victim of making a very huge mistake. Hey how many of them are innocent? Well the sun is shining in Northern Ontario, Canada today. Now that's a good thing. hugs and kisses to all who read my silly little blog. PS My little dog, just tried to eat cat shit, out of the litter, now that is disgusting. YUK!

Zindadawn, walk with us, but beware : You might fall in love ! Are you ready...really ready to leave your little room ? confused
Leaving that tiny space could be a serious problem ! cheers
While it is true that sometimes innocent people go to jail and even executed what about their innocent victims. No one seems to care or accept that they dont get second chances or extra years added to their lives. Doing away with so many appeals would stop overcrowding in prisons and jails.
Good for Canada! Sunshine is nice. To bad about the dog.
I have to agree with Belly18. I often think of those
innocent victims, you’ve got only one life to live and someone takes it away and too often for no good reason.
I can still remember what Clint Eastwood said in the film (Unforgiven) that he directed, it goes something like this “killing someone is taking away everything they have and everything they could have had” now that’s a lot.

An interesting fact about this film is most of the cinematography was shot in Alberta, Canada in 1991.
Oh, I really don't want people to think I am not feeling for the victims of crimes by any means. But I was not understanding really why they were on death row for so long. Also I did go on line to check out some of the cases. In certain states even if you were not the one who did kill, but yes you were there, you get the death penalty as well. Also life without parole. We don't have the death penalty in Canada.
Yes you're right we don't have the death penalty in Canada but they are enforcing the law and if I'm not mistaken people who kill more than one person will be getting more than one life sentence depending on the number of people killed. This also means more time to do before getting out on parole. I think the government will try to pass this new law sometime soon.
