Picture walking
Not the best lighting conditions, as it was the middle of the day, but my dog and I had a pleasant 1-hour walk in Centennial Park. I like to look for the trails not often used (no matter how grown over), and see what I can find there.Starting out. It's a beautiful day for a walk, considering the last few days were cold and windy.
I love to observe how the various degrees of light filter through the canopy.
Found one of many trails through the bush to Current River. I find it quite pleasant to just sit on a rock, and watch the water flow by while listening to the thunder of the rapids, short though they may be.
One of the few bridges over the river. The road is the boundary between Centennial Park and Boulevard Lake. Perhaps I will go there and do a picture walk next time.
There is real hidden beauty still out there... if people are willing to open their eyes and look for it.

Nah. If anything, there's quartz, and water insects. In my course we did a study in some of the creeks in the area, and I don't think we found anything of value. Without excavating however, one will never know. Mostly shale around here.
