Go easy on me...
Hi everyone who reads this, and to everyone who doesn't let me say....hello. You didn't think i'd leave you out did you????So, this, as my title suggests, is my 1st ever post on this site. I was inspired by reading the blog of Dublin Nerd, and thought: that guy is so right to blog! Surely i can follow his path? So here i am.
I'm roughly about a month on this site,(happy anniversary me!) and its a bit of a mixed bag. I wasn't expecting it to be a grandiose procession to everlasting love, but at the same time, i wasn't expecting it to be...anti-climatic.
It appears the ladies of the world are all after the standard: Tall, Dark and Handsome. And why wouldn't they be???
Unfortunately, i'm none of those things, yet i'd like to think my personality (urrrgh!) fights a good fight on my behalf!
Perhaps i need to expand my page to become more receptive? Perhaps not? I'd love feedback on this!!
As i'm still fairly new to the labrynth that is online dating, i could do with advice from everyone!!
So, that's about it. Thanks for stopping by. And well done to the athletes at the Special Olympics in Athens, you guys are the best. And to any American readers, a very happy 4th of July to you!!

@mebedave: most of the ladies here are looking for someone decent and genuine, if you are in that category you will meet some wonderful people ..
My husband of 19 years is neither Tall, Dark or Handsome, in fact, he's red haired, blue eyed and is the freckliest person I've ever known. It's his personality that caught my attention. :)After our first date we both knew the other was "The One". After he dropped me off at my apartment after our first date, he went to go buy my engagement ring.
We were married six weeks later and have been together ever since.
A good personality will "speak" to women far more than looks. May you have faith and you'll find who you seek. :)
I used to volunteer helping the contestants in the Special Olympics. They are such winners!! :)
