How if I be....
This Saturday is my turn to preach in the church. But I give it to another man to give him chance to preach. Instead, I was asked to give a sermon of the household.
It reminds me of when I brought the sermon. There are several church members who say that I deserve to be a pastor's wife. Wow, I have never forgotten this. But, I might not be a pastor's wife.
I can't imagine how if I be a pastor's wife

I guess being religious would be a requirement. If you have that then you are halfway there.
Excuse me to ask you; are you a priest so you can give a sermon in church? Maybe you meant in a cell group, right? As I know, if we are not a priest, we can't give a sermon in church. In what church do you praise? I'm in Tiberias Indonesia.
But however, I'm glad to know that you're very active in church. God bless you
No in the group but in front of member of Adventist Church. My organisation every 3 months give the younger to preach

She understood, she just told about she was.
@maryrachelle
Thanks :)
I'm late commenting because I work at night. But here goes. Congratulations for your sermon. I wished I were there to hear it. If your church records the sermons and one can buy them I would like to purchase one. I will private mail you with my address. OH WAIT! You said you were sidestepping for another person. OK, IF you change your mind I would like to buy a copy of your sermon if it is available.
@ ScarletRoses: If you read the bible you will see that none of the apostles were priests and they were the main teachers of the Good News after Jesus Christ was taken to heaven by God the Father. The only priests mentioned in the bible are the Levitical priests in the Old Testament.
He..he..he..yes of course I read the Bible. And you're right about Jesus C and His 12 aps. No one called priest, but Ed, it was happened 2000 ys ago! And (excuse me) I never read also that there were women gave sermon (in Old Ts, she was an evil). I think that everything is adjusted with the growing of the era.
In Citra's case; I thought that to give a sermon in the church at least you have to study the Bible well; both of formally (in a seminary school) and personally (the Holy Spirit teach you). In my church, even my shepherd doesn't allow women give sermon like a priest (although she's a priest). And nowdays, there are so many church and they have theirown rules.
Please don't be miss understood, I didn't want to discredit or judged Citra (Citra, I appologize if you felt like this). And I know Ed, you didn't say this to me. Basically I was only curious. As long as our God is the same God, I think it's ok! The point is "to win many souls to praise our Lord". I also did some sermons in my cell group, but not in a church...
@Citra, I'm salut for you! And thankyou to lend your blog to discuss with Ed.
God bless you all
If you've already realized this, so please make a decision to reach "the way". I pray for you
As long as their is room for change, and there always will be, I know that God wants women to become more than mere listeners especially where the Good News is concerned. I am sure He will not send a woman to hell for being a pastor or preaching.
Whatever happened to Sunday?
