BELIEF !!!
So often I have wanted to run away but an invisible hand held me in place. I remained, worked through the issue I wanted to escape and I overcame. In the midst of the struggle, I discovered a wonderful truth : I can't lose if I don't give up. Failure is not an option if I don't quit. I intend to win in life. I have made it this far, and I am going to make it all the way. I believe in me.-Barbara A.Croce-

I have a polish friend who still speak english after 4 years, she has learned abit norw but hardly uses it. The trick is not to be lazy but get over the first ridge and start using it from day one. Here all speak well english so it's easy to just do that. Problem is: most jobs you need norwegian for.
Yes, she did learn the language to land a job. She needed it more to have a social life than of financial pressures. It's a long process but i feel it's worth it. She has good things to say about Norway now and I'm glad she got over the winter blues.
Yea sure hard and that, but once you start use it the learning accelerates and then you learn much faster then the books, ju'no.
True about language usage. I've learned French, Spanish and Latin before and got to advanced levels. But now, it's all come down to basic small talk, I can understand them only when i read and i can't even speak it anymore.
Cam: reckon you're moving to Norway? I heard it's a good place specially if you're a nature lover. I hope you can adjust well during the cold winter months, which is a big change from sunny Southeast Asia. When you move, take the best of what you have from Vietnam and carry it with you.
Morgenulv, I see that you have an older computer. Have you ever thought of switching to linux?
I will attend this meeting today:
If you want I can show you how to install linux.
