TSCC-Austin trip and going back to WORK

Working like a mad woman at the store all July, I took my very first family vacation since my divorce. We went on a roadtrip to Austin and to the DFW area.
Yep, I had some problems:
First the damn rental had a flat tire about 50 minutes from Austin. Great! And being on the interstate wasn't cool. Me, being cool,calm and collective, I alerted roadside assistance. I had 2 guys that stopped and asked if anything was needed. Which was sweet and nice cuz the second guy that asked me was fuggin HOT!! *Glad I had some makeup on* . After the tire was changed, the engine and oil change light started flickering on. Are you serious? If I put down a 250.00 deposit on this damn thing, umm make sure the car is serviced well before renting. Slightly damped my spirits, I boogied on down to a town about 20 minutes away for dinner with my friend I haven't seen in 5 years. She's getting married and yep, I cried a bit *not too much* when she showed me her dress. Dammit!! I'm gonna need two boxes Kleenex in November..

So I took the car back the next morning and gotten another one (Dodge? Again?) and the festivities took place. I didn't realize how much my state capital was tha and IS THA SHIT! Seriously? I took Austin as just another 'boring college town with politicians, stuffy rules and blah' BULLSHIT ON THAT! Austin is WILD! Far from my stupid ASSumtion. My kids had a blast and love the history of the capital building, the fun lunch on 6th street *daylight hours of course!* shopping, IKEA! Which my son was placed in time-out in IKEA.. Only him can manage that.. After 2 days we trek to DFW area, visiting cousins and chillaxin' with mimosas.
Very tired that Sunday coming home but made awesome memories with my kids. And now I'm not ready to go back and work at school this year. Surprising,I should get that groan and moaning from my kids but it's coming from me. They're supa ready to start school. I'm in denial about it.
