cell phones...need them or not?

Last tuesday i dropped my cellphone and it won't work anymore.. first reaction was damn what am i gonna do now???? We all can imagen that feeling i think. But how much do i really miss it? Usually i'm always texting the entire day, even if i don't want to.. sending co-workers some info about checkpoints or sending them directions to find new clients.. I'm always busy with it. But these last few days not a single beep.. It was strange those first few hours, still kept checking to make sure. But it has been so relaxed that i'm actually thinking i could get used to living without having a cell.. just like the old days.

But enough about those silly ideas... I'm gonna get a new one this weekend.. just can't decide.. Blackberry or Iphone.. and what type should i pick??? Won't go for the latest one.. that one is 700 euros or something and thats more then i wanna spend on something basic as a phone. so what cell do you all have and what are the pro and cons?

Eventually i found it in the car laugh
I really don`t like phones but they come handy , you can pay the parking with it ,call home that you`re gonna be late for dinner or even take pictures of some car crash ...or some hottie ...

Guess its time for me to actually get a phone ...laugh
my phonelist... crying

anybody have folks numbers written up elsewhere?

I personally hate them, let me ask you a rhetorical question, do you possess a cell or cell possesses you?
well i have a copy of all phonenumbers on my back up phone1 and backup phone2... those are my old ones.. usually don't work as they should but still come in handy at times.
did you check that the battery hasnt moved ,when you dropped it?banana
i can turn it on... but freezes then after a while so can't do anything anymore... should be able to get it fixed but well i've had it for a while now so don't mind getting a new one. just so hard to choose... maybe i'll have both of them LOL
just buy a cheap one , cause you wont want to drop a expencive phone crying
crying Poor me because last month I lost 2 cellphones, one was robbed by one man and one is died. I'm already used Samsung Galaxy and I thought it good, because with Samsung cellphone you can take nice picture and the sound is so good.

Now I bought HTC One and still testing them. With me, I prefer Android phone. You can try LG Optimus or try with Windows phone purple heart
i hate cell phones. i always have mine off. i use mine for an alarm clock, and to call road side assistance although, i usually am within walking distance of where i have to be.
We did okay without a cell phone, because phone booths were everywhere. Nowadays, I dare anyone to try to find a phone booth when they need one. Cell phones have become a complete necessity. I only give out my cell number, never my home number. And a lot of people only have cell phones with no home number at all.
My ex uses a Blackberry, but it's far too complicated for my poor little pea-size brain. Mine is a super-simple Verizon LG phone that's so easy to use, a kid could use it.
I can't go anywhere with out my cell phone!!!....
I need it with me pretty much during working hours.
I use the simplest and very cheapest Nokia for
calling purposes and to take advantage of all the
discounts available to call abroad and within the country.
Then I have my bb where only a few close friends know the no...
@ Teddybeer : It's a dilemma. Until now I just hope that people can still meet and talk or at least calling on phone to talk than sending a Blackberry messenger. I like the fiture of video call in iphone. Overall, for supporting nowadays information and to get connected with other, I have to admit that phone gives much benefit. It's not like the time when we stay in the stone era. haha. Just don't over do the phone.

There is a slogan here about phone "keep close the far ones but make far the close ones." Use it wise wine
I can't go without a cell really, i'm never home so if i wanna have some kind of social life in my free time i need to do allot of texting and planning during work. I'll guess i'll be in doubt untill i'm finally in the store and make a final choice there.. maybe i'll just get both.. LOL Thanks for the advice everyone.
In case anyone is actually wondering.. i've gotten the blackberry
